One year sober, but I have done everything else you do many years. Why did I slowly taper off for years instead of quitting years ago, I don’t know, but I don’t miss alcohol at all. I don’t understand the appeal anymore. 🎉💪🏼👍😁

Wow, that was much needed and appreciated. My drug of choice turns out to be poison. Pain and stress and I treated it with sweet wine. I did not see the down side of more health issues. Sugar kills.

Drinking helped distract me from much bigger problems. Once I saw the effect take a toll on my energy it was easy to stop. Where are the tools to deal with the mess of life, lack of organization skills, lack of hobbies, lack of community, lack of support? Am sober, but more lost. Drinking at least grounded me in the now.

Ever try connecting with the One that made you? He still let me drink again without condemnation. 'Cause the drinking will condemn me to death or sickness. He knocks at the door of my heart, and waits for a reply.
