You can see why they moved on from Goldberg when you watch the commentary difference... He would make obvious statements, and talk about past statistics.. but never really commentated in a way that would detail the purpose behind certain tactics in the ring, or talk about what a suggestion might be in a fight, if it were going a certain way ... Or even discuss strategy for a fighter

And when he did attempt it, even us non knowledgable mma fans, knew he was wrong the moment he said whatever it was, and joe would have to correct him, making for awkward moments in commentary

I felt the same way. But I really enjoy the new UFC commentary. Rogan, DC, and Anik are doing great. I've actually turned from just respecting, but now a fan of Dominick Cruz. I would love to hear more of Bisping also. I'll never forget the voice of Mike Goldberg though. I would love to see him inducted into the UFC Hall Of Fame. What he lacked in knowledge of the sport. He made up with his enthusiasm. And there's nothing wrong with that. You don't have to know every stat and steps to escape a submission. To love the sport. Mike Goldberg is part of MMA history

Mike Goldberg was great when he shined during the more hype moments, but he fumbled the natural flow of the commentary way too often during the more meditative and technical parts of the fights.
