While I do see the point of some clips being preanimated and that could be the case. But the Miwa clip you referenced does look like it could be from the last episode (manga reader here) it could very well be in episode 7 since during a certain fight (which will be the first fight in the arc) there is an explanation about simple domains and Miwa is used to explain it. That Miwa clip could just be an overly elaborate exposition scene in episode 7 and not that scene from the end of the arc. The trailer showed clips from the first half of the arc (I’m guessing the first 9 episodes) and since this is a 18 episode Cour it would fit how PVs would show content from the first 5-6 episodes of a 12/13 Cour. Although the Hakuyu Go scenes (like Sukuna and Jogo/lava shots) are pretty far into the arc (like 12 episodes in) and those looks like episodes that are in production. The last Yuji shot did look a bit preanimated to me (the bathroom or background isn’t very detailed and super dark). I heard despite the schedule the production is going fine.

Wow, insane knowledge about the animators. Still, I don't think those 'new-gen animator directed episodes' was the cause of new gen animators rising to the top. Its a natural consequence of the industry booming so hard, with so many new projects, there was no existing senior staff to go around, so juniors get promoted extremely rapidly. And you get first time directors directing mega-ips. This happens in many booming industries, and is what powers workers to work insanely hard, because the path to promotion is so short. I thought Jujutsu S2 had a very well planned out schedule, because the first 5 episodes are flawless in quality. But it looks like its because Mappa can afford to get the entire industry working on it...

Easily one of the best and most knowledgeable channels I've come across regarding anime production and how the industry works. It's not just the actual content but the way the content is presented is fantastic as well. Great work! Could you make a video on MHA's current state of production? Or if a video is asking for too much could you provide your insights? I've been keeping my eye on the staff lists and the general quality of production for the show and it's gone from what was my favourite Shonen adaptation to.. Idk disappointment I guess? Having 6 Episode Directors for a total of 25 episodes for the Sixth Season with Tomo Okubo and Shoji Ikeno directing 6 and 8 episodes *each* by themselves and also storyboarding the majority of the episodes they directed with Kenji Nagasaki and Masahiro Mukai going completely uncredited probably speaks for the ✨incredible✨ production conditions at Studio C don't you think? Jokes and sarcasm aside I'm genuinely looking forward to hear your thoughts on this. Cheers! Edit: Almost forgot to mention Yukina Kosaka and Yutaka Nakamura being credited as *2nd key animators* for the same Season... Yeah. Correct me if I'm wrong but having star animators such as Yutapon and Kosaka do 2nd key animation work just seems... Appalling to me.
@carloscauan7967 Жыл бұрын
You do know that Nakamura also did 2nd KA for Mob, right? Also, people really blown stuff out of proportion when talking about MHA from a production standpoint. It may have issues when it comes to non-creative direction and lack of major prowess, but it's still great. Hell, S6 was the more consistent it has been in a long time, it was even the most amount of participations Norimitsu Suzuki did for a long time.
@percival6815 Жыл бұрын
@@carloscauan7967I agree with your points on consistency and the Norimitsu Suzuki part. Wasn't aware of Yutapon doing second KA of Mob either so that was good to know. However I don't think that really changes the fact that it's a very strange production. I still have a lot to learn about the animation industry but seeing a situation where a sub studio cranks out 25 episodes a year with 2 lads handling half the season and barely if any involvement from the Series Director and Chief Director just boggles me. Personally I've never seen it happen with any other show. They didn't even do the thing where they release a movie mid season so what was even going on? It seems to go beyond just "production issues" and more like MHA is utterly lacking resources at this point. AoT Final Season Part 1 had one of the most abysmal production schedules of the decade but Yuichiro Hayashi was as involved as a Director possibly could be and while he couldn't really direct episodes by himself, he storyboarded as much as he could. Here we didn't even see that

Man I really love your vids and how in depth your research goes that pretty throw lights on the current connection among the artist within the anime industry, like even after watching so many animation breakdown vids haven't find anyone that went deeper into the production desk side of things. Now I have some suggestion & questions in regard to the information: Firstly when you refer to any name of artist who did either KA, ED or SB maybe try to use same name that you are saying while showing clip of their work such as Itsuki Tsuchigami (Miso) cuz I was really getting confused whenever you mentioned it. When you mention 2 teams, first Keisuke Seshimo & Hakuya Go team I didn't find any name on Sakugabooru as Seshimo, then I get to know he is actually Animation Producer at Mappa. So maybe you could have clarified that he isn't an actually artist. 1) Why do you think that Sukuna Scene is directed by Miso & not Hakuya Go? Is it because of Miso's connection with Gosso through Ousama rankings? Or some one invited Miso specially cuz he didn't once appeared in first 5 eps of s2? 2) Any reason you think Go team will appear on Fate strange Fake series as I think none of the core team member KA any scene from ep 0 from strange fake? Even tho Takahito Sakazume directed it. Well maybe you could say they were busy with Heavenly Delusion. 3) Do you think Ryu nakayama will direct 1 ep as he basically owns a favor for ep 8 of CSM or will it be Tatsuya yoshihara as SB long after Black Clover 100 ep being his last SB (maybe?) Other than that great vid man and really informative, just what I want from a channel that talks about Animation Production side.

Great video. But a thing 15:35 you're saying they can't produce these two shows because they Share big KAs and some ADs? (a similar situation with GOH and JJK while they Shared more staff, even the director). Also it depends on Multiple things. One Animator named amphibi said (for the trailer) that his schedule was workable (he thought it would be much worse cause probably a lot of people are saying the schedule is horrendously bad). Niimura also tweeted after CSM episode 8 that his work with CSM was over but he is busy another Mappa project (episode 5), so we can assume episode 5 was probably in production around December 2022. These are just my guesses at The end, I'm not saying the schedule is good but i pretty much doubt that they producing this Show with this Quality in supposedly AOT part 1 schedule with this Quality (Hidden inventory is already better than s1 while they obviously need to priorities shibuya in this supposedly horrendous schedule).
@Vendetta2789 Жыл бұрын
1) U gotta remember GOH and JJK s1 had sunghoo park as the director lol. He literally was the backbone behind the quality of those 2 shows. As mankoman said before that sunghoo park was animating most of goh fights himself (Because of him working on goh, his first directed ep in jjk was ep 7). When goh ended, Sunghoo park was also working simultaneously on jjk 0 which came 8 months after s1 off jjk ended. 2) There is not doubt that jjk s2 has a worse schedule than aot s4 (could be on the same level based on the schedule) but the amount of high profile animators working on jjk s2 is insane. If Yuichiro Hayashi hadn't been the director, Aot S4 P1 would have suffered significantly more that it already did. I believe that Yuichiro Hayashi, like Sunghoo Park was for JJK S1, 0 and Goh, is the backbone of AOT S4.
@A1000-b9s Жыл бұрын
@@Vendetta2789 park did the Animation part (not all ofc). What about other departments? And there are more than enough people to help when park is missing. ''There's no doubt about The schedule''? How exactly? These are all our guesses, we don't know What exactly is happening behind the Scenes. One Animator is saying his schedule was workable, but that's not enough for all of the episodes, not to mention about what niimura said (if you Read my comment). they seem pretty far in the arc. So you're saying they are producing 23 high profile episodes with everything almost being perfect in 8 months or Something? (while the average anime episode is made in 2 to 3 months, and from What niimura said, that dosen't seems to be The case). You're saying they Share staff, but Most of them are KAs and Some ADs. What about main staff? Compositing artists? 3d work? Bg art? 2KAs? ADs? Douga artists? PAs? PDs? Etc.... Seshimo being one the best APs in the industry now, while the directors have an insane amount of connections with great PAs and them hiring new staff. Man, I really want an original anime from this team, that would be awesome. It just is unfortunate that I have to read a VN with no official translation, or a manga I’ve already read. Although, I’m happy that people who love the JJK anime and Fate fans are excited

3:00 My literal favorite animated moments for all both series, mob, fate,, connect etc aswell, mfs are literally the round table of animation Dx if we had nakamura it would be full one punch man again 🥴this arc will be FIRE, even when the production sound bad bad
