There's other cities in Texas that are in the direct path of totality. Idk why the news always focuses on Kerrville.

Wow what a bummer for Texas. Weather forecast is pretty much a worse case scenario. We just changed our plans last minute from Kerrville to Carbondale. Southern IL and parts in the Northeast will have best viewing weather wise.

Don't look at the eclipse without proper glasses. But feel free to stare directly at the sun on a clear day.

The Northeast is the best spot surprisingly when usually it has the highest chance for cloud cover which is a good thing this year so I can go 4 hours north and be in totality.

@@Scott-fy7fm it’s practically a once in a lifetime experience, you don’t get to see the moon fully block the sun during the day every week. Its a spectacular astronomical event that’s definitely worth viewing

@@LightningEthan I get the rarity aspect, but with our modern level of scientific knowledge it just doesn't strike me as particularly interesting when you really think about what is occurring. Lots of things happen rarely that we just ignore

@jorge5275 it's probably going to rain, with less visability. I took an astronomy class and found it intriguing. I did see a partial eclipse in California last year. This one is going to have NASA scientists. So it's a big celestial event.

I think it's going to be chaotic. Gas stations will sell out and thousands of people will be stranded.

Yeah I live in Kerrville & nobody I know is super excited about it, in fact the opposite. With big crowds come more crime. Plus these small streets don’t stand a chance with the amount of people coming. Truly people have too much time on their hands and not enough responsibility to come from all over to see it
