@@lilyis_ That's fascinating, I love that kind of deep dive into the intricacies of how stuff works. And I like that your video has nothing to do with fawning over or pouring out one's obsession over how certain people or their makeup looks, I feel like I'm becoming sensitive over that kind of thing cause it seems like unhealthy idolization. But videos like this one where you explore, analyze, experiment, showcase, that's very interesting. I'm interested in many things kpop but it's hard to filter out the idolization. It's refreshing to see for example makeup in kpop talked about just as a normal thing. Hope my rant isn't annoying! And yeah I want to say if you enjoy making this kind of content know that there is an audience for it. 😊 Thank you for a well crafted, interesting and insightful video.

I think that is more to do with similar features than ethnicity,(ethnicity plays a role tho) but I think if you want to know if some makeup style, trend or trick is gonna work on you,see if you have similar features to the people who are rocking with that trick,if they are completely diferent, you can still try to see if works or not. E.g: I have soft features (low visual weight +rounded features) so I search for celebrities that share similar features too, like many kpop idols or random people on internet with similar traits, since I am often darker then them(I am african) I just ajust the colors, opting for deeper tones to show up in my skin(not soo deep to the point that starts becoming too heavy) and it works really well,I have my own version of heavy makeup (is not the same way the westerners do) my fav makeup isnpo are: wonyoung, Jennie from blackpink, IU,Nayeon, Danielle from New Jeans, etc.
