He flooded the entire land just by gouging Poseidon’s eyes out. 2. Every single one of those crazy, bad and downright ugly souls were being held within Hades’ body and as soon as Kratos absorbed his soul, they all got out. 3. They already screwed up the franchise since 2018 as far as i'm concerned, OG Kratos and OG GOW from the PS2/PS3 era is the only GOW for me. The whole norse story is just a bunch of fanfic bullshit and the new Gaytos is a different character with a different personality literally nothing about that character resembles who Kratos is from the Greek Games they even took away his Spartan Pride which was essential to his identity. For the record i got no problem with the developers wanting for him to become a full fledged good guy my issue is the way they did it. I'd much rather prefer a Vegeta type face turn for Kratos like how despite the fact Vegeta changed his ways he still acts like Vegeta with his personality remaining the same but unfortunately the new GOW games just pulled a Character assassination instead. Me and many of the other old school GOW fans feel the same way but unfortunately the fans who defend the new games just bombbard us with attacking comments they even went after David Jaffe the guy who created OG GOW in the first place, its a shame the fanbase got so toxic i remember how chill it was before the 2018 game divided the fandom

You make him not like fighting and spends time whining about trying to protect his kid who is more than willing, old enough and has shown he can protect himself. I get making him a father and 2018 Kratos had his moments and fighting with who he was and trying to be a good person but he feels like a completely different character in Ragnarok. The perfect Kratos would have been making him not wanting to fight all the time but if you want the smoke and his family is at risk he will remind you quickly not to mess with him. He is the God of War after all and would see that sometimes the best ways to solve his current problem is to fight especially when Odin walked up on him not the other way around he was just minding his own business.

@@tmac731 The power of hope was in Kratos when he opened it to defeat Ares, after that it was sealed inside due to his guilt about the death of his wife and daughter, and losing hope. At the end of the game, he use hope to end Zeus for good. He did beat Zeus without it but Zeus was still alive in his astral form. Kratos was always strong enough to kill gods due to his strength, rage, and ambition. Kratos used hope against Ares and Zeus, two beings he knows, he not confident defeating during that time. Even though power of hope is gone, kratos still has hope to this day. It’s may not be the same hope but hope is still there inside of him that was sealed away before acquiring the box.

God of war 1 thru Ascension were amazing action focused/combat focused games with a good story and characters. The new ones just don't do it for me. It is pretty telling that in every god of war game you start with an epic fight or battle. The new one starts with a qte of cutting a tree that and holding forward for what could have been a cutscene. that told me from then on what the focus was. And i understand that there is combat in the new ones but it is not well thought out or fun.
