My boyfriend introduced me to Stardew Valley because I was going through some things and needed to redirect my busy thoughts elsewhere. I immediately felt overwhelmed with the pace and stopped playing. Just wanted to say thank you for the uploads. I understand the game better and I’ve started playing again. Your videos and playing help my mind find “quiet moments”.

I felt the same way at first what helped me was setting small goals and each time you accomplish one add another and start there. You have limited time each day so you can’t get everything done. Just ride through your first year no stress year 2 you can start planning more intently. Play the game at your pace you don’f have to finish everything right away. I’m year 3 and just about done the Community Center just two more bundles 🙏

I'm the same way because my OCD and perfectionism automatically take over. But it's good practice for me to learn to let go of silly things. Like a farming sim game that's MEANT to have you play however you want and get away from the corporate grind lol. So I just keep reminding myself that there's no consequences if I just run around talking to people or just fish a bit then forage and go home. It's also not like Harvest Moon where you'll get locked out of relationships or events because you didn't get to them quickly enough, so that takes some stress off.

I can't wait for Julien to play Stardew Expanded. But also I'm assuming you know Julien but the mahogany seeds will grow full sized hardwood trees and you can make a tree farm and keep replanting them with tree fertilizer. It's so much easier than the secret woods. Especially on vanilla. Not telling you what to do, just because you said you hated it so much 😅

julen! tip i learned while trying to play stardew again: during green rain go and chop all the new trees that spawned (the mossy ones) and that gives you a ton of wood that you can store for later when you get low on wood
