To clarify something kyphosis and lordosis are natural curves in the spine so at the end u really dont want any tight muscles, what i mean by this is that forcing ur self to have a straight back while sitting will meake u as bad so do t try that if it doesnt feel natural just do the strech thing he says if u feel tight muscles

or just get out of your ass for 2 hours a day and hit the gym.. I was getting very bad scoliosis due to horrible posture, Predator in Apex and Emerald in League will do that to you. 5 months of stretching and hitting the gym has reversed about 40% of the dmg and I am looking better than before, I still game about 10 hours a day tho.... passive income can be detremental if one doesn't have discipline ;-;

Yeah that's really it, you need to make sure you're muscles aren't tight and also strengthen the ones that help hold you up and posture shouldn't be an issue. Forcing yourself to sit "straight" doesn't really solve the problem and people tend to overexaggerate it by forcing their shoulder blades together for example.

Great stuff as always dude. I severely injured my arms a while back from over climbing in league and on rocks, so this advice really shouldn't get ignored. I had no arms for 9 months and that shit was much worse than doing jumping jacks between games.

I played league so much in 2021 quarantine that I needed actual physical therapy for my neck pain. It ain't like I'm an unathletic guy either, I played basketball run miles and lifted, but that 3-4 month stretch of no school was enough to give me neck issues for a while. That's my experience...

1 year away from League and going to the gym 7 times a week i feel much better, League gave me depression every time a lose, and when i win i can just think "great now e need to win 2 more to compensate that 1 loss"

Very good video. Got motivated to move while I listened and tried some of the things out right away. Thanks to ADHD I move a lot anyway when I am in longer sessions of gaming. But I will consider the Super Sayan more often

I have been a gamer for 20 years now + nowdays i got job where i work on the computer so for me its around 10-15 hours sitting per day. I got 0 problems. Thats because i regularly, well at least 3x a week do some sport actively. Like really pushing my body with variety of exercises like running, lifting weights, cycling, etc.. Also while others hate me for this i have developed some sort of routine to switch sitting positions all the time, at least 4x per hour. Do this and you will be fine. Just dont ever say no to any activity outside and all the long hours of gaming will be just fine. Also try to sleep well.

Well, same here but I dont do sports and I barely move at all. No pains, the only ones that I got were not because of sitting etc, but because of 1. Chair and 2. Sleeping position. I think its most important to look into what you do most (sleeping and sitting) and then do something else. Also, im simracing in between sleep and gaming, so that might be helping a bit (my wheel is strong enough to win with gym bros, and I tend to sit 6h+ driving without breaks).

There's a really simple solution: buy a regulated standing desk and a headless treadmill (no holding bars). It's pretty popular in the IT sector to put such a treadmill under the desk and walk while working.

Get a standing desk for sure. And ofc do back extensions at the gym try the stair steppers for getting better legs and do hamstring and hip extensions. I also like the side-to-side elliptical, if you squat and use proper form while you do it the exercise is brutal but builds up your lower body and core a ton. One of the hardest parts for gamers will be strengthening your grip, because your hand will hurt if you start doing upper body exercises that actually improve your other muscle groups. You can't rush these things, your grip just needs to improve over time the more you do it.

Another thing to keep in mind to make breaks between every match and got out to the balcony to make a few steps. Also, you can try to change positions every couple of minutes. It will help with preventing muscle imbalance but as OP said, if yiu are not getting enough body activity dyring the day it won't save you.

I swear I'm glad i got used to standing desks because i had s job where standing was more efficient interacting with computers but then i had a longer task decided to sit had the feeling i had less brain power for the task so stood up tried it with league now is my preference when playing comp games

You should also provide an analysis of health for different roles. For example, how the crayons ADC players consume on a daily basis effect their health, if at all. Or the negative effects of being a top laner chugging bottles of glue.

my problem is not gaming for along time as it is sitting for a long time , i work on my computer watch movies and series and anime on computer , play games on computer most of the physical activities that i like would take most of the day or needs planning (cz where i live some stuff aint that ez to do like playing basketball for example)

There is more reason other than health and irl stuff to not play League 24/7. Not sure if an academic study has been conducted about this yet but your performance peaks in first few games of playing League. So you should treat League like an exercise

I mean, as long as you get up to do literally anything every 1-2 games you're fine. And most players do. It takes a real problematic addict to sit for 5 games straight. And most times if you move a lot in your chair to get comfortable that helps. And if you have a job where you move around. But yeah the unemployed addicts will have issues.

But it is not realistic to assume gamers play video games 13 hours a day (assuming they don't have any other responsibilities in their adult life), playing nonstop without standing up at all, every single day, let alone specifically LoL players 😂 Also, less than 1 hour vs 13 hours? bro, the contrast is insane, nobody plays less than one hour, but nobody plays more than 5 hours nonstop. (of course there is some people that do, but we're talking about a very low percentage of people) Even streamers stand up for a while and take a break while streaming and they do much more than just playing video games. I'm pretty sure that if we can blame LoL for the things mentioned in the video, we could also blame every single job out there, since most people are forced to sit for at least 3 hours nonstop and do their job, 5 or 6 days a week, for an entire year
