The biggest misconception is that we're Arabs. We have ZERO arab dna. And our culture is unique, shaped by our OWN ancestors (Levantine, Caucasian ancestors from the region). I still have to fight that stereotype, but at least genetic studies prove it now.

Well in other countries except middle east sex before marriage is considered normal but in here since because religion is involved sex before marriage view it as a bad thing so people rarely do it even if the did have sex it be a secret. He didn't say anything about being a virgin is wrong he just pointed out how people view sex before marriage in Lebanon if theirs anything you didn't understand just ask

Just remember. LEBANESE are NOT Arabs. We are 100% Levantine. Meaning, Phoenician. Yes, with Caucasian and Levantine ancestry. You can look it up, whoever doesn't know this already. But we have our own ancestry, distinct from Arabs and other populations. This is why we look different also.

I am indian non-religious and my ancestry is of st.thomas-christian background of 4 generations which is amalgamate of syrian and Indian culture when coming to practices. Of my complete 26 yrs of entire life; I had wrong and ugly exposure between myself and syrian-lebanese people. I am deeply hurt. Of my exposure my conclusion; syrian-lebanese people have a liberal-socialist persona and are communal like Wolfpack. They hurt a person using thorough study and psychology of that person to making them envious. This is down-right rude. Excuse me. I am not political. These people are heavily wounded by politics and their past and the fact they were manipulated. Discussing politics is definitely a no-no with them, espec when doing trade. From my family memories what I studied; the greater syria in its Christian times was very rich and vibrant place, was equivalent to Europe. But countless wars and strife have made the place diminished. The syrian culture is beautiful culture. They should be open armed, not judgmental to other people. They should understand that I,others are not political casting people. It takes time to cope with individual. The syrian-lebanese people should ignore politics, past and invest themselves in the world. Everyone should see them as world and not as geographic border. Then only peace.
