Sarah Kay I did tell them cause they asked me and since i like to be so honest no matter the consequences (im a woman btw which is even more triggering for Arab parents) they didn't like it my dad made himself as if he didn't hear me and kept avoiding that his little daughter had sex ever, forever and ever so he wouldn't beat the shit out of me 🤣, my mom was another thing cause she is more intense I'm a fucking grown up adult and she's still sometimes traumatized that I'm not a virgin since long time ago. But i obviously explained to her that losing ur virginity is normal, doesn't mean im a whore (cause that's what mostly un-updated old people think like) its just having sex for the first time with a person that u love that's it, if men can do it so do we, period. The difference they see in women and men is just a societal construct from our patriarchal system, we are Arabs and our culture is misogynistic it doesn't mean we are Right it just means we are misogynists, but we could change that by speaking our minds to our family every time we feel something is wrong about how they think and how they raised us, and simply don't commit the same mistakes they did; be supportive, be educative, be loving with your kids those are the most important things. Sarah Kay although it's a fun vedio but I can see people taking it as chance to spread perversity. However sex without marriage is not a thing to be proud of, anyone can give his body to others but not everyone is committed to his beliefs and can keep it virgin. Moreover it's not appropriate to tell parents so when they didn't raise you this way. Such issue isn't about Arabs and Islam, my friend is Christian non-arab and against it, even I see Indians against it although they don't believe in God. It's more of your dignity as human to not be a toy for others, I mean what difference does it make when a guy rapes you or your boyfriend has sex with you? Eventually both are going to leave you while in marriage it's not the same, you got rights and family beside you. I believe your family cares for your feelings and respect more than considering it a cultural or religious thing. You can go have sex with anyone but as you considering it a normal daily thing like drinking and eating then I don't think it's something to be proud of and show off like you're european and free. Actually it's the opposite, being free means that you own your body and not being used for others' pleasure so don't spread it and ask girls to be prostitutes. You have been given the privilege of being Arab and have family with ethics. Your mom could be american giving birth to you and throw you in streets as she doesn't know who your father is and she could be a teenager not able to feed you or raise you. P.S don't say alhamdulilah while you're disobeying him. Being dirty is not a thing to thank God for specially when it's against his principles. الله يهدينا ويهديكم.
