And you are doing a great job and I appreciate that a lot. It's a luxury to have drinking water right from the tap, unchlorinated in most parts of the country and still you know it's safe to drink. Even though the resdponsibility ends at individual property lines and with old lead pipes in the house drinking tap water isn't a good idea, especially for children.

Same lol But in the olden days, tap water was considered safe in Indonesia. People drank straight from the tap, well, springs, rivers, lake, etc. They also filled unglazed earthenware jugs (kendi) with tap or well water in the morning to keep itcold and fresh through the day. When there were tons of cases of dysentery and polio, the government told people to only drink water that has been boiled.

Whenever my family would go on vacation we would have to drink the tap water in the hotel anyway. We don't buy bottled water, it's a huge waste of plastic. If we didn't like the tap water, then we'd get a lot of ice from the vending machine, let it melt overnight, and then bam, clean water.

It’s certainly a privilege that can be easily forgotten- thank you for reminding me. Most of Australia’s cities are supplied with safe drinking water, the taste varies. It’s shameful a lot of our remote Indigenous communities do not have treated drinking water- the safety varies by location.

Same with Canada, which is especially stupid because we have around 20% of the entire worlds freshwater. The average Canadian uses 329L of water… a day😀… And yet we still can’t get clean drinking water to indigenous communities. It’s disgusting really, because we could help them but the government actively chooses not to. Also I heard somewhere that in some communities they can’t drink the water even after boiling it…

Yeah I didn’t even realise how privileged we are until I read some of the comments on this video. If any kind stranger has a second, please explain what they do for drinking water instead?
@keith_is_tired2864

@@The_Creeps_In_The_Bushes yeah, in Canada, which holds 20% of the entire worlds fresh water AND has more lakes than the rest of the earth combined, still doesn’t have clean drinking water in indigenous reserves. It’s such bullshit. Their water is like shit brown, and in some places even after boiling the water it’s still not safe to drink. One community has even had, I believe, 2 people die because the lake beside them is doused in Mercury (super duper poisonous to people, messes up your brain & paralyzes you, very often deadly) from some old factory dumping their waste there and not telling anyone. It’s really just awful. We could do so much better and yet no one actually does anything. :(

‭‭ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:10‭-‬18 says, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless. .

@@volkova6209 It depends where you are. Most Americans live in cities which is where water is the worst. Some cities get their water from lakes where sewage runs into, others use contaminated pipes. The freshest water in America comes from homes with their own water supply, such as wells or springs. Why haven't we addressed this problem? No idea ¯\_༼ •́ ͜ʖ •̀ ༽_/¯ Don't expect our government to fix it though. They can't even address all the outraged groups in our country, or deal with the immigrant issues and all the other stuff. @@EinDeutscherPatriot620 Hm, what bothers me is how xenophobic a lot of americans can be, telling us that they're better than us. When they also have a lot of flaws and issue, like corrupt cops, school shootings, apparently tap water you can't drink from, very split economy, lack of support for homeless people, a clueless president, obesity problem, etc etc. Every country has their own flaws and problems, including european countries, and asian and basically everywhere, but the difference is americans seem to love to complain about their country's issues, whilst in the same breath claim they have the best perfect country. Idk, just a random vent, nothing to do with you specifically. It's just really bothering me, i hate xenophobia. The water in my small Canadian west coast town was declared the cleanest and best water in the world for a town of less than 20,000 people. Our village gets the water through an aquifer. Land developers keep on trying to get permission to build hotels or houses over it but so far we’ve managed to keep it safe. It’s just a question of time before it is damaged by greedy developers although it cannot be repaired.

Nearly all public water supplies in the US are safe and people expect it to be that way, which is why the occasional discovery of problems (like lead in the water in Flint, Michigan, or chemicals in the water in West Virginia) causes such a huge scancal. Private water supplies, like you might find in private homes in rural areas, are more variable. I installed a water filtration system under my sink that comes to a separate tap, to improve the taste (mostly getting rid of chlorine).

If you're in Germany and are unsure about the safety of the water (in a very old house for example) you can let someone test it, unser some circumstances it's completely free but that also depends on the city/Bundesland (some only do it for free if you have small children, are pregnant or if there's a justified reason for concern like a strange taste or colour or just very old pipes).

I'm so impressed with your gift of story telling & talent to bring it to life in a video! Not just this episode but all of your work. It's as if you create a cinematic evolution of story boards to depict each scene. Then skillfully utilized all the elements a film director draws upon to produce a movie & captivate the viewer's attention. Both character roles were clearly defined & emotions highlighted by alternating camera angles. Dramatic effects of a flying cup, splashing water, squeezing your cheeks & wind blown hair, were all intensified by slow motion action. Adding appropriate music to the precisely edited scenes elevates the theatrical value & emphasizes the seriousness of the circumstances. The finished short is a Masterpiece! I enjoy your channel, thank you for sharing all the priceless laughter! Wishing you much Love & abundant Blessings!

@cameroneridan4558
@cameroneridan4558 26 күн бұрын
@@Wuinyt there's well water in Germany too both on city scale and single house scale. Like the water in Berlin comes from wells in our woods that pump forest-filtered groundwater. It's super clean and fresh even when we have flooding, but it also tastes pretty meh. It's good enough in flavour to never need to buy bottled water that's for sure. But in small towns and villages it is common to have your own well in your house. However the flooding was causing problems mostly in places with reservoir water, and only southern states were really affected it wasnt like a country wide catastrophe or anything. But the cool thing is that like. The government very much treated the suddenly undrinkable water as far far more dangerous than the flooding itself.

Visited with a bunch of Americans from my university and had to keep my eyes from rolling every time I heard how unhygienic they thought my country was when they were repeatedly asked to use bottled water and eat local but they refused.
