@@Max__apex in reality its barely a feature and more of a gimmick. Had they done this with a wheel other than the g29 it would probably be better, but minor haptic feedback on a wheel known for being coggy/notchy isn't too effective

Fanatec makes an affordable DD-wheel, Thrustmaster makes Ferrari F1-wheel with display and then we got Logitech, who makes a "new" wheel but it's just a G27 with a vibration feature. No swappable wheels, no new stuff like magnetic shifters, still the same old LOUD G27 design... I thought Logitech would evolve when the stared to sponsor the McLaren F1 Team, since they have the Logitech logo on the steering wheel, but no.

@@Max__apex U mean that the wheels are expensive for Fanatec and Thrustmaster? U do realize that a G923 costs about 300 itself, but is the same boring wheel. No F1 wheel, official Sparco rally wheel etc. So yes, I rather use a Thurstmaster (as I do nowdays) and pay a unique product rather than pay for the same 10 year old design. To each their own, but I don't think this was a good move by Logitech. I have used Logitech before, both the old MOMO wheel and the G27, but I find that Thurstmaster just is better.

@@JustThingKing Throatmastee t300 has way higher FFB latency. Crazy high latency infact. G29 quicker then tgt and the fanatic in FFB latency. Fact So Oversteer way easier to catch

@@Max__apex Having driven with both, I have zero problem catching oversteer with the T300. The T300 is quieter, compatible with a range of wheels, pedals and add-ons (such as load-cell pedals which are nice) and I haven't had any problems with it (the G27 I've had to change parts, software errors etc). As I said, I've driven both, I prefer the Thurstmaster design and philosophy over the Logitech design and philosophy. That's my opinion, yours might differ and both opinions are equally valid.

He is talking about Logitech G923 Trueforce which has nothing to do with the old G29 or G920. Who played Dirt 2.0 with Trueforce will understand what he is saying and how alive is that wheel and you can feel and hear the engine in the wheel. Others can play with the static boring Thrustmaster wheels..

Looking at the comments I am realizing that the G923 is one of the most bullied wheels, they still defend the G29 as if it were a Supra, look, the G923 was my very first steering wheel and it stills a "full package" as a starter racing wheel, Now everyone is making unnecessary wars for the best steering wheel? For someone who wants to start in Sim-Racing it's absurd spend thousands of dollars for a steering wheel with Direct Drive and a Fanatec or Thrustmaster logo

I just picked up the Logitech DD pro wheel with trueforce....OMG!!! This is friggen amazing. Please please please please, for the next installment in the series, weather that is DR 3 or EA Rally, please have trueforce and vr compatible. I don't care if you charge 30 bucks on top of the base game for added vr support across the entire title. I am so happy you folks ended up with the WRC license. Please please please keep going with the VR support and trueforce.

Trueforce is a joke. It's a stupid vibration on top of the regular force feedback. I remember Sega GT for Dreamcast with the vibration pack. More RPMs = More vibration. That's all.

Its really not. There's so much more nuance to the force feedback on G923 compared to G29. I owned g29 before I sold it and got g923 on a sale. The difference is not just more vibration. You'll know it when you play with it.

Im very ok with my logitech true force, but its not optimal. And in dirt rally 2.0 i am alot faster on controller. I just cant give the inputs as fast on a wheel. I dont think thats the wheels fault tho, it probably mine 😂

It's always faster on controller and is why controllers should be banned from true Sim racing tournaments..Sim racing has too have a wheel and a good one or it's not Sim now is it??

Trueforce is just a marketing gimmick. The G29 is just a lazy MSRP refresh. Logitech need to start from scratch. Even the budget Thrustmaster T150 has far superior FFB.

This is such marketing BS it's the same entry level wheel with about 2nm of peak torque, no dynamic range and most people who are buying entry level gear are gonna have this thing clipping 80% of the time because they do not care nor have the knowledge to set it appropriately

I've got the g923 and the trueforce is a bit of a gimmick, it won't help your driving and can just distract you more than anything, I bought mine second hand for £160 so was definitely worth the money, it's a bit noisy that makes it feel like a toy, but the force feedback is decent for a relatively cheap device, I don't recommend paying full price.

The product works as advertised. If you already have the older models, than don't buy this one. Simple.

Negative feedback is important if it's justified. It helps companies to make better products in future. In this case, Sim Racing hobbyists, are right: it's piece of crap. Do Logitech lie? Not necessarily. Did they made a shitty product in comparison to others on market? Certainly. We, as a consumers, are obligated to criticize bad products for OUR OWN SAKE. And you, as a conscious consumer should research and get information before buying anything. In case of this wheel, fast research shows it's ripoff. Don't defend your mistake just because you spent small stack of money on it. You could buy cheaper G29 with shift stick, and still have some for analog handbrake. Best thing is: yeah we don't like it. We not gonna buy it. We will spread word that G923 is crap. And Logitech will hopefully learn.
