I'm 11 years late to this party, but I appreciate the heck out of this lesson. A couple of things that might get overlooked are strumming and the subtle hammer-ons with the middle and ring fingers on those m7 chords -- some hidden gems in there for us as we become better players. Thanks Doc!

One of my all time favorite songs!! Somehow I was just thinking about it today, decided I have to learn to play it, and by sheer miracle, there you are ToneDr!!!! Gonna pick up my Taylor tomorrow and spend a Covid Saturday learning this awesome song. One of the more complicated songs (chord-wise) that no one seems plays. Except you and a very few others. Your lesson is GREAT. Can’t wait to learn it. VERY cool chords. Thanks!!!!!

My Lord, it has been a while since I have had your fine company...as usual you are a great teacher - I wanted to kick it up a half but it does work well until I get to the lead - gotten sloppy in my old age but gonna play it right - puts a trip on a 4 string bass though - Paul Carrack's newest studio version os sweet - guitarist i funny but uses field hollars"" to answer Paul's vocals after the break - really nice - Peace

@tonedr10 жыл бұрын
hello Scott...really appreciate you getting in touch and thanks for sharing music! I play through two amps - a Princeton and a Headstrong Lil King. The Princeton is an early 60's with 1x10 - the Headstrong is a Princeton clone and it has a 1x12. I pull it more for HB guitars but like it with single coil as well. I wish you all the best with your music, your friend, dale.

Such an underrated song. Love Paul Carrack's voice. Whenever I here How Long I think of Clapton. Saw Clapton in 78 after Slowhand came out. His backup band was Ace. We were walking to our seats when Ace was playing and we all just stopped in our tracks. So good! We saw Clapton again, I think in 80, and he had Johnny Winter and Muddy Waters with him. Muddy Waters comes out and starts playing and introduces Johnny Winter, they continue playing and then Muddy Waters introduces Eric Clapton as his son. Well of course the crowd goes wild. I love watching you play because the music that you play brings back so many great memories. Thank you so much. Discovered this tonight. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGGVn6uGedqqi5I
