DBZ has a bad misconception. The longest transformation scene in the show is about 5-6 mins (Goku going Super Saiyan 3. The longest power up scene was Frieza going 100% because Goku allowed him to was also 5-6 mins. The anime coming on tv with commercials made the scenes longer than they were, especially if the anime allowed extra dialogue in other scenes. But DBZ scenes aren’t really any longer than other anime

Doesnt make sense to talk at light speed, if theres a conversation they would have to be time for sound to travel, so if they are fighting at light speed they must have paused to converse or else thet would be moving faster than their words.
