Adventure time ended up being pretty lore focused in the back half of it (mostly post season 3, after the ice kings backstory was revealed) and theres currently 2 spin offs with more content on the way. The spin offs are distant lands, 4 episodes that are about 40 minutes long each, and fionna and cake, which is currently 1 season with 10 episodes around 20 to 30 mins each. Fionna and cake is rated tv14 which means they show considerably more stuff, but its also Incredibly lore heavy. It is not kind to beginners.

I watched it growing up, and when Fiona and cake was coming out, I went back through and re-watched the entire show, the second half of the show I had never even seen. Then obviously, I watched the distant lands spinoff in the new show. I’m always excited for when new stuff comes out because it’s actually a really good show. After about season three or four, it doesn’t even seem like a kid show most of the time😂

Finn being turned into a giant foot was the 1st episode I saw, and I was hooked.😂 Hands down 1 of my top 5 shows, I've rewatched it all a bunch too. Weird, but hilarious and when they start dropping more bits of lore... it gets pretty deep. Couldn't recommend more!!💙
