Indictment is not necessarily means that he is guilty, until evidence presented and argued. This guy is comparing apples with oranges. Wearing a suit & tie doesnt make his statements honorable. This is not about a guilty versict, it is about a city of 8 million people. What's the message being sent here by trying to make this case seem like it's a jaywalking summons. As a native New Yorker, I find disconcerting that Mayor Adams did not address this investigation with more savvy. Dressing up finely doesn't matter if you're not up to the task at this level of leadership. Adams ' statement should have been part of an address probably a year ago as opposed to the last minute. It makes him look amateurish. For me what's most disappointing is how Adams has handled this whole thing way before the indictment.

Crime being down is the overall statistic nationwide. I want to know what he did with the half-billion dollars he cut from NYC schools. What happened to the buses that are missing from the schedule because the mayor couldn't or wouldn't hire enough drivers? And what is happening to school service providers who are, due to staff shortages at schools, being pulled from their regular jobs to work out-of-license? Let's boot this guy and get someone in who will restore our school budgets so that the work is more nearly possible. We need a progressive mayor. And Mr. Mulgrew, when are you ever going to get around to providing ANY kind of class size limits for English as a New Language teachers? Right now Mulgrew leaves us hanging in the wind with no class size limits, no limits to the number of teachers we can be asked to co-teach with, and no time to do the tons of compliance paperwork. When will Mr. Mulgrew spend a thought on us?
