During the civil war when coffee supplies we cut off from the south, the Confederate soldiers started making coffee with the root of a plant called chickory. They just figured it out. Community Coffee still makes a blend called coffee with chickory. People were made of grit. Did you know where Lord and God are written in all caps, LORD - is where they have taken out Gods personal name. Some people wonder why they did that. It makes perfect sense to me knowing that the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. Since there are many gods and many lords, we want to make sure that when we pray we use the creators personal name to make sure we get his attention. Kind of like mailing a letter without addressing it to anyone in particular, just the address. Never know who opens it. Besides that, you should know and use your best friends name when you call them for help. Just saying😊

That thinking killed my sister. She was a true Christian women who lived her faith DAILY. When Covid set in, she regretted listening to the BS. She watched unvaccinated people all around her die alone screaming in pain. So, was it worth regular people playing Doctor??? Hell NO😖 I find it ironic people prep for food storage but won’t take a vaccine to save hundreds of thousands. Conspiracy at its best🤯
@BelindaTN3 жыл бұрын
@@tammylemoine3019 but that is the point. Taking the vaccine does NOT save hundreds of thousands. The vaccine, at best only helps the one getting it. It does not stop anyone from getting the virus and it does not stop anyone from spreading the virus. And many people have had adverse reactions to the vaccine. The chance of anyone dying from their virus is still less than 1%, without the vaccine. It’s about the same with the vaccine. I am so sorry about your sister. I too know some that have lost their Covid battle. With the vaccine and without it. It is a beast of a virus. And there is no guarantee with any weapon you choose to fight it. Take the vaccine if you feel that is best for you, but please don’t come down on the ones that don’t take it. It has no effect on you. There are vaccinated people spreading it like wildfire. Because they are allowed to go anywhere they want, without being tested for the virus. Unvaccinated people usually have to be tested to go many places. When the virus breaks out in those places, it is the vaccinated spreading it. Because they are not tested. So much unknown about all of this.

These past 2 years has been quite the eye opener. I never thought until now that it would be possible to have money and nothing to buy with it. In my life, it was working and saving to have money. Now we do have some money to buy things that we need and a few things that we just want, but soon, there may not be anything to buy. It is hard to even find someone to hire to do something for you. Neighbors have cows and this is a farming community. I am grateful for everything, including the lsrge wood stove we just bought to replace the pellet stove when it's time. 5 acres of hemlock forest. Other trees too, but lots of eastern hemlock. I love the smell of burning birch and the bark can take a spark even when it's wet. It's amazing stuff birch bark. Greetings Danny and Wanda. FOLKS... focus on the basics Water, Shelter, Food. Not much else matters if one of these 3 are missing. What we have is a multiple issue package.... natural, economic, political and social. History is a great teacher if you are willing to apply the lessons. Observe key significant events that are being repeated. My sole adapt/mitigate plan is to "survive", to provide my grandkids with the "tools" they need to decide their path forward wisely. Winter is coming early and will be as intense as summer was. The gaining intensity of the solar, atmospheric and geologic events will be the first "weeding". The greenhouse expansion was the best effort i made this summer... next spring will be garden expansion. There is opportunity in chaos.

I do grow as many of my own herbs as possible and am stocked up on herbal supplements, teas, and tinctures. I wash and dry my clothes the old fashioned way (2 washtubs, a scrub board, wringer, and clothesline), we heat with a wood heater that is also a cookstove, have lots of lanterns, lamp oil, and candles, so no power won’t be a real problem for us. My husband and I feel the same as you guys. We've been preparing for a long time the best way we could. Our place use paid for and so are our vehicles. We do without things. We believe in God and not afraid to die. God wants us to push back against the evil ones. It's sad to see so many still not awake. Evil is after us God's people. We are also in our 60's my husband is a health care worker and still has two years till retirement. As off now they haven't forced the jab but if that's changes he's ready to hold onto our believes. Thanks Danny for having the courage to speak the truth. God has touched your heart to speak to those that may be afraid

I was in Target last night (which I almost never do, but I never do Walmart so it’s the biggest store I do go to) and there were no shortages of anything I saw. That’s in Reading PA. I’m very lucky and certainly that’s just one place. I’m lucky, I live right near Amish country and I usually give them my money. I will drive the 35 minutes to buy from small businesses that are doing the right things.

You're doing much better than most Melodee! ;) You're doing wonderfully to prepare and let's ask Jesus to provide the way day, by day. Remember the words of Jesus to provide for the sparrows... and you are more important to God the Father than those. I'm recouperating this past spring/summer from heart attack, pneumonia, & painful reactions from meds in the hospital...and saw first hand how dependent we must be and are...upon God's mercy, provision, & wisdom. He saw me through it all. I had to let go worrying about my preps...including my garden gone to weeds chest high. We all can just try to stock up now on what we think we might need. Try not to worry about lasting into the coming hardships & live day to day and give God your worries. :) you aren't alone by any means, but you are awake and preparing better than most of the people including me! God bless your way & give your family just what you need.

I got arthritis many years ago. I am now 60. My son's life took him in another direction...I have found the church to be rather loveless (!). I am not in a position, even financially to prep. I suppose it's a matter of my Father could.....But even if He doesn't I will serve the lord.

Karen, my arthritis pain totally went away when I started eating a low carb diet. Sugar and grain flour are very inflammatory for your joints, so I went on a keto (low carb) lifestyle way of eating. It has changed my life. I lost weight and ditched all my meds, including arthritis and diabetes drugs. My joints don't pop or ache like they used to. I am much more active now. God's miracle cure, I'm telling you. I still have my desserts and treats, but I just make then sugar and grain flour free. You can even eat bacon, cheese, whipped cream, pecans, and all kinds of awesome foods! There are tons of absolutely easy and delicious recipes online. Just wanted to share. God Bless!

I dig up my sweet potatoes two days ago. It had been 133 days since I planted the slips. I planted them in a raised bed. There were quite a few medium/large potatoes with huge holes chewed in them. I found two very fat white grubs in the raised bed. I am so disappointed. I did get enough viable ones to save for growing slips, but only about 5 big enough to eat. This year I have only successfully grown green beans, strawberries and blueberries and two Dickinson pumpkins.

gardening is mostly about willingness to make mistakes. to keep trying. it's about resilience. i have definitely lost tons of stuff-- but look what we DID grow, and what we DID learn! i am sending your plants much love and to you to keep going. you will begin to see what is the easiest thing for the greatest payback is in your area. i promise i will pray for you, Brenda. because you are willing. keep going. Cause yeah-- gardening. it's not for wimps!

I grew some in a raised bed too. All were very small and had these little worms. Deer kept at them too. My Irish potatoes was eaten by those little worms underground as well. They look sort of like a meal worm So both beds failed to produce anything. I am still upset and it . I want to know what those worms are and how to get rid of them that will not poison the potatoes. They were lovely above ground but leggy.
@brendaca72343 жыл бұрын
@@ladyemerygizer Those little worms I think are called wire worms? A lot of the sweet potatoes at the store have little holes in them from those things. That’s why I wanted to grow my own. I will keep trying. Next year I’ll plant them somewhere else.

I’m in Texas, went through the crazy snow storm and outages last winter. Ercot has already said a couple times this year since the fiasco that the grid was stressed and we had a mild summer. I bet we see another storm this winter, hopefully people are prepared. I’m in an apartment, working towards getting some land, but in the meantime I’m preparing as much as possible.
