How long do we have to date before getting married?

When you know that person is the one, you just know it! My husband and I met, dated 4 months, engaged 10 months, now married for 22 years! And God also has blessed our marriage with three beautiful children - all boys!

What do you do when everything has lined up and you’d like to get married, but a wedding is impossible? We’re in college (toward the end, both will be 22 soon) and it will be years before finances allow for a wedding, but being stuck dating for years seems miserable.

could y'all do a small inexpensive wedding? we have several Friedns who did backyard receptions... one was even a potluck and the bride was radiant! ;-)
