I really hope this game does well and has a solid update roadmap. With characters of this quality, plus variants that change their kits, it takes a lot of time to develop. It’d be a shame if it ended up like anime showdown. ABA is honestly getting boring now, with so many unbalanced characters.

Unfortunately probably not, ABA might have unbalanced characters but theres a reason it has so many active players. People value new content / very consistent updates, than quality (which is a shame) That being said, I always find it difficult to play roblox fighting games that are slow like this one. Heavens arena and AxS are both super high quality but have no players because theyre just too slow and methodical

@@King-wc6bl ABA has managed to obtain a consistent community who comes back even with lazy updates once every 2 or 3 months. I don't know why it has so much staying power. Also I get it's subjective but I only half-agree with SU and AxS being slow, I find ABA has the opposite problem. There's so many characters with massive high damage AoE moves they can spam to get an instant combo, and within 3 seconds you've lost 90% of your health. It's not fun at all in cases like this, and it's easy to do. I HOPE SU is long-lasting, especially with how stale ROBLOX is but I wouldn't get my hopes up. A bunch of arena games have put more effort in than ABA and barely last past the first month.

The only thing I don't like about this game so far is SOME characters look too spammy, especially in awakenings. Like when you mode as yuji it looks like you can just mash keys and not even press m1 at all. Apart from that it genuinely looks cool.

Yeah tbh I hope we get choices between sub or dubs somepoint down the line, and an option to mute voicelines. I'm all for having them voices, but I feel like it's gonna get irritating hearing your characters constantly screeching every time you do a move. Or an option to turn the frequency down, maybe every 2 times you use a move you get a voiceline or something.

Hot take: I do not like kaioken gamble goku. I prefer cell saga goku or even bardock as a variant (yes I know it’s supposed to match saiyan saga thus saiyan saga vegeta is a variant too). However if tanjiro got a variant that is giyuu and marineford luffy and enise lobby zoro aren’t in the same saga so could goku.

It sounds a lot but imo it would be pretty boring if you could unlock the variants very fast, the progression system would be pointless then. 3 hours isn't too bad, you could literally play an hour a day with 1 char and get it within 3 days. It's a little annoying, sure...but I think when actually playing the game it won't feel that bad. Play it for fun and before you know it the variants will be unlocked.
