What a perfect subject! You're right - so many people get defeated before they even start because they think it has to be time-consuming and complicated, not to mention "perfect." Thanks for this inspiration!

I also get lost in time when I draw. I will try the timer approach to see what that is like. Thank you. This will be interesting.

Getting lost in time can be a good thing. But if you feel like you need a lot of time, the timer approach will be interesting to find out how much you can get done with a time restriction.

@@KoosjeKoene Thank you for your response. I really want to try the timer now. I was taught fast sketching so this should be good!

Great advice. I often say 30 years! Or “ what does it matter ? “

Those are both really good replies! Love it.

When I draw I seldom remember when I started. I get so immersed in my work that I lose all track of time. That makes it so relaxing and mind clearing. I do not care if it took five minutes or five hours.

So true! It doesn't matter.

Wow amazing! I thought it would take longer.

Everybody has their own pace, of course, but indeed, sometimes less time is actually better, to keep the movement and flow in the drawing.

short and sweet encouraging big sister talk - without finger pointing - but that might be okay!

That's why I tell the viewers how much time I spent in each drawing, when I post them on my Instagram account

Very smart! To be frank - often I just don't know exactly because I forget about time.

@@KoosjeKoene me too! But first thing I use to do before starting to draw is to see the time on the clock. My drawings are very detailed, so I must delivery all information to the public, and this also includes materials used. The time flies when I'm drawing! That's the beauty of this craft 🥰
