I love this idea! I always have an hour in the morning that I sit quietly and enjoy my coffee. I do believe now I’m going to have my hour with coffee AND my sketchbook. Even a busy day would include some drawing that way. Thanks!

I'm almost finished filling my Stilman and Birn Beta sketchbook. OMG, It's one of my favorite sketchbook brands. the smoothness of the paper is a dream. It takes beautifully my new Art Graf water-soluble graphite pencils. Thanks for bringing still-life to my attention. I'll do objects from nature now that Autumn is upon us. I collected some pecans and gumballs today...we'll see where that takes me. 😁📚✏🖌

the way you drew this and the idea of weekly same set up drawings has given me a feeling of excitement. I have indeed been having a rather to me longish time of demotivation, a kind of despair both at my drawings and at the feeling of losing a 'friend'. Drawing has become my very close friend for a few years now. So glad to feel the rekindling of friendship. You are a real 'sweetie' :-) Koosje. So natural and so so creative.

You said you are using water soluble ink, so im wondering why it didnt bleed when you added watercolor?

I believe that’s a waterproof ink, perhaps she misspoke? Platinum Carbon Ink is waterproof as far as I know

I misspoke, sorry for the confusion. Helen, who replied earlier is correct; I use platinum carbon black ink.
