+Glenn Gallup - Hi Glenn - I agree - Everything, the set design, the script, the acting & the soundtrack were brilliant. This film dripped of the atmosphere of 1950's Paris. It also reminds me of something I learned when I watched the movie ONCE (2007). It's much better to have musicians play musicians than have an actor try and act as a musician. Best wishes, Ted

Love Lonette McKee. First saw her in cotton club. What a great rendition of ill wind. Also saw her in Toronto in Showboat. I am a great fan of her singing and her style. She is brilliant

Douglas Carlson Her appearance in "Round Midnight" was the first time I had the privilege of hearing her. I totally agree with you about her immense, but not fully appreciated talent. Perhaps she was not well managed. You know how it is, money talks. Mediocre "talent" often gets showcased undeservedly. But I digress. Lonette Mckee rocks!

Yes Pat, I agree - not hitting it big in this society is not necessarily a knock-off. I used to live and work in downtown Chicago for 25 years - I used eat lunch at a restaurant called Zinfandel and then go next door to jazz club that reminds me of the setting for this scene.
