🤔….. and for us “follicly challenged” guys 👀 (perhaps you can relate? lol), are traditional facelifts an option? I have male-pattern baldness and have been shaving my head for about 20 years now. I like the look and never need a haircut! I’m just wondering if surgical techniques have advanced over the years to the point where scarring is minimal and perhaps even difficult to detect by others, unless they know where to look? Great video by the way - and those before and after photos are amazing! I’m glad that I found your channel.

Thanks for the video... Not really clear what "lasts" means. But let's think this through. Let's say we have 50 year old twin brothers and one of them gets a facelift and looks 8 years younger. So when you say that a facelift typically "lasts" about 10 years, that means that at age 60, one twin will look 52 and the other will look 60. And they will continue to age beyond that, and one will always look 8 years younger. So what exactly is the significance of the 10 years "last" time?
@jniamtuiii5 жыл бұрын
You can never assign an "age" of rejuvenation. You can't make someone look a certain age, you can make them look as good as they can for their age. You may make their neck look like it did 20 years ago when their skin excess is removed. Thanks for watching.

Great vid. The enthusiasm is so refreshing. Is there something about the procedures you perform on men that prevent the neck and jawline from being more defined? There's obvious improvement between the before and after pictures. But they all still have a kite-like formation from chin to neck and a faintly more defined jawline. Are there methods to further improve the lines there that you don't perform? Some of the women have gone from nearly no definition from chin to neck to very well defined, almost 90 degree turns going from chin to neck with clear jawlines. Are our mugs just that stubborn? Thank you for all of the great information!
@jniamtuiii3 жыл бұрын
It is really not necessarily the technique but more the patients existing anagomy. If the voicebox and the neck muscles are further back, you can get a great neck/chin angle. If that is anatomy is more forward, then the angle is less impressive. Good question, thanks for watching.
@Yo_AB_Breaks3 жыл бұрын
@@jniamtuiii Thank you! I didn't think about how generally, females have smaller voice boxes and muscles in that area. That helps explain a lot of the sharpness you're able to achieve with their anatomy over some of the male's in your gallery.

Will the facelift get rid of my folds, and if not, what will that has the potential to last for desired 10 year period? Also, will the deep creases from the folds ever disappear or be dramatically improved?

NL folds are variable and do improve with facelift but don't "go away" Some patients still need filler from time to time to improve. Also some docs do fat injection. They can be improved but not eliminated

How do U fix the 2 bands that run like train tracks from your chin to your chest? I didn't see any neck lifts for this type of neck problem. What can B done that isn't too invasive. How much would it cost. A ball park price. High & low prices. I like that u only do the face & neck. I think doctors who do it all are not the right ones to see for a face lift. I wouldn't go to a foot doctor to fix my face. same for boobs I prefer a doctor who does 1 thing well. I have however heard of some new ways to fix the neck bands which makes me look old. I forgot what they r called, but they can fix necks which make me look older. I did have a face life over 37 years ago. I still look 20ty years younger than I am. Just my neck bands bother me & maybe fixing my lip lines from smoking many years ago. I also had my lower lids done, but the doctor some how sewed the corners of my eyes so they do look a bit un-natural. Why don't we see more follow up pictures 5 and 10 years out? I have been told that after a year is when a lot of the results become less desirable once all the swelling has gone down and the healing is complete. It is interesting that we often don't see any pictures of what the patients look like after one year. If there is no follow up past 1 year then how can you say a facelift lasts 10 years etc...? Is there a way for patients to really educate themselves because the before and after pictures are not extensive enough? They should do before and after videos so we can see the patient dynamically moving instead of in a pose often with different lighting and makeup.

Numerous specialties perform cosmetic facial surgery including plastic surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oculoplastic surgery, ENT surgery and dermatology. Whomever you may choose, pay more attention to their training, experience, and outcomes than to their specialty. There are plastic surgeons that do a lot of cosmetic surgery and some that do none or very little. There is a lot of hype out there about only choosing a single specialty. I am sure whomever you choose you will do well. Dr. J

@@jniamtuiii l did. And l did a very good job. I educated myself on the dangers. I did first my left side, around the ear as you would do. l lifted above my ear about two inches and around my ear another two. l did a complete brow lift. I did the top of my eyes as well. I did not do my kneck as l have weight to lose plus l don't think l could do my kneck successfully. . I took off only the skin and fat. I did not go into the smaze. I used all the correct tools. I did not use stiches as they just tore out. I had to put a lot of pull on the skin. I used skin glue and bandaids. I changed them every day and pulled the skin tighter together each time. There is next to no scaring. I pulled the skin tight from the back of my head. It is really tight now. I did not worry to much about scaring in and around my head as l was losing my hair as l aged. I depend on wigs now. I had no swelling and no brussing. Of course it took longer to heal but l had complete control of how it healed. I am 63 and could never afford to do it through regular means. I wish l could show you pictures as l documented step by step. I am an artist working with oils for many year so l had a very good sense of depth perception. Blood does not bother me at all. I used a 1 percent lidicain making sure nothing got into my blood directly. I researched all the danger spots on the face so that l avoided them. I did do a fare amount of bleeding but l could caulterize if l needed to. I really didnt like to do it if l didn't need to. I used the lidicain only as needed. I cleaned everything with alcohol each time l used my tools. I never got any infection at all. I believe l got a better job done then with a doctor could do with all the limitations they have. I am just healing my right eye as l did not do both eyes at the same time in case of infection. I will say that the skin around the eyes was very hard to heal without stiches but when it did heal you cant even see where l did it. Anyway l just wanted to tell someone. Thank you for you time.

The female at the beginning of this video looks as if she received more than a facelift. My God, looks like she had gotten a jaw implant. Can a facelift actually make the jaw gain that much volume? It has to be an illusion unless you actually added some implant.

No, it was just the lift that pulled all the loose skin. She has good jaw anatomy but it was obscured by the droopy skin. Thanks for watching.

@@jniamtuiii I believe you because I have noticed the same pattern in the typical facelift in that the face seems to become broader and more heart-shaped and usually more attractive. But when I objectively measured from the corner of the mouth to the narrowest part of the jaw it still seems there's more jaw there than what can be accounted for. But then again, in the after shot her lips are mildly parted which may account for that. She looks great though. Truly a life-changer for her, I'm sure. Oh, just one more thing, did she get her cheeks volumized somehow, or is that also just the results of the facelift? I thought only a deep plane could do that.

@@silversurfer4441 I think the only thing we did was facelift, cheek implants and eyelids. There is so much misinformation about deep plane facelift. A well done deep plane facelift has no advantage over a well done traditional SMAS lift. Much of what is said in favor of any single lift is just marketing.

Gosh. Think how much better this would have been without the repetitions and waffling. Next time, script the spiel, practice it and stick to the script.

Had my SMAS facelift 4 months ago. People who have never met me are in shock when they hear I am 55 years old. They all think I am alot younger. I just say thank and don't say a word on my secret 🤭

Hi Dr...I just came from a consultation for a facelift and the dr said i don't need one yet but if I get it now he would be afraid that I will need another one sometime and it could be dangerous to do another...what do you think of that? bc when you do a second facelift you have to go over the old suters and something could go wrong..like hitting a nerve etc. so it seems as if he was saying it's best to only get one facelift ever.
@jniamtuiii4 жыл бұрын
I can't say if you are or are not a candidate for a lift, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with having an additional lift. I do it routinely. Previous sutures are no problem and cutting nerves is not different from previous surgery. Secondary facelift surgeries are very common.
