Despite being born in the 2000s (the same year the Concorde was retired in fact) I still remember when 747s were queen, they were my fav plane as a kid though I never got to ride one. Occasionally I'd see then while changing planes at big airports and sometimes I still see them today, but it's getting rarer and rarer every day.

NGL, it really hurts that British Airways and Qantas retired their 747's, and never ordered the Boeing 747-8, since both of the airlines have such a fascinating history with the aircraft, but I forgive them overall because they are still flying their Airbus A380s, and plus, they put many of their retired 747 aircraft in museums, or to be preserved for cinema (And yes, I know the now defunct British Airways Cargo bought the 747-8 cargo model.)

i find it so sad that this beautiful plane has been abandoned by so many aviation companies. Yes, she's not that fuel efficient, but she is the reason cheap and modern aircraft travel exists today. The 747s have had more impact than any plane in the aviation industry. They deserve better. But no matter what happens, she will always be the queen of the skies.

With over 1,000 sales, I wouldn't be surprised how long it's lasting. The plane was used so much and was so popular. It was a necessity to have the 747. Most of it gets used as cargo, which is the whole reason why they all aren't gone. Just saw the video, you said almost everything I said 💀💀💀💀

Do you think that the 747s and A380s may come back but in electric or hydrogen version. Right now, these planes are polluting the world. The A380 is my most favorite airplane. the A380 never had a fatal crash but the 747 did a lot. Airbus is making a hydrogen version of the A380 called ZeroE and it is coming out in 2035.
