Two really neat concepts to Geocaching is called the Travel Bug and that's placed in a cache and the next geocacher takes the Travel Bug to another site and places it and so on and so on. All of this is logged online and you see where the Travel Bug started out and how many hundreds of miles it has traveled. We also "cache in" and "trash out" by always carrying little trash bags and picking up any litter on the way in and out.

The gps signal plays games in that area so your always getting mislead. Then BAM it hits ya. Its at a local store. Parking lot. This store happens to have a giant statue TOTEM POLE Of a BIG DAMN INDIAN. 2nd one was on the back side of a whats it called old electric store forgot the name. Went outa business while back. Anyway HUGE CONCERT building with a large hill on the back end the signal keeps sending you to different places. Spent SOOOOO LONG looking for the damn thing. Then one day after weeks of trying. One of us mom i think realized something. There was a DEAD BOLT on the outside of a door. No big deal its the storage end of a big electric store so sure they would have a lock. Duh. Wait thats a fire door. A emergency exit if you will. A dead bolt lock..... on a fire escape door? Interesting.... There was a little ice chest below the tree that had more bird feed in it so we decided to refill it up but when I opened the hatch to the birdhouse we heard a click on the back of it, we tried to see where that came from and it was this little tiny door that popped open and had an arrow pointing up 👆 towards the tree 🌲! So we looked up and there was a little hole in the tree where a geocache was located! Yea my grandpa put swings on his apple tree, and whether it was the chain swing or the board with the rope through the center, he put part of a cut up tire around the branch where the chain or rope would hang. I think he also would change them out from time to time.
