I was also at Explo ‘72. It was an event that changed my life! I still think about how wonderful it was. I listened to Love Song all the time. I saw them a few years ago at Calvary Chapel when they were doing a reunion tour. Was just like old times. Thank you so much for having them on your show. God bless you! Jesus changed my heart and Explo felt like heaven on earth, being with so many others who also found Jesus. It truly was a Jesus Revolution and I pray it happens again!!

Church historians say it has to go into the records of Great great awakenings. 1400 Calvary Chapel Churches were started in U.S. Many more in other countries. God was in it! They are solid in the word. I listen to many of the calvary pastors daily on their network

I went to high school with Chucks sister Teddi in the 60s. He got saved then Teddi got saved and then I accepted Jesus in the tent in 1971. I was 25 and now I am turning 77 this year and am still following Jesus. Love songs music was my everything in those early days. Their music takes me back to my first love. ❤

Chuck Girard was a member of the group The Castells in the early 60's. Check out their hits "Sacred" and "So This Is Love". Wonderful songs from days gone by.

I saw Love Song at jesus74 in Pennsylvania. After that heard them quite a few times, Bought their albums, and sang their songs with a church band at the mall. My favorite song was Two Hands.

I was also at Explo 72- drove there from outside Pittsburgh, PA with my boyfriend and two friends. We camped in the tent city provided for us outside the beltway. It was a wild time but glorious!

'Two Hands' is my favorite. It came on the radio on Sunday nights with a few other singers in the very early 70's when I was living in Texas. I heard Evie's song 'Mirror' and heard Kathryn Kulmann speak.

Was there when Love Song first sang at Calvary Chapel. I transitioned from playing the Beatles on my guitar to Love Song's tunes, Larry Norman songs, etc. The "Jesus Movement" was Jesus moving in the lives of millions of us hippies and searching young people. America could use another revival like what happened in the early 70s.

You know alot of what these guys are talking about, namely what happened in the late 60's early 70's, is happening today. Young people are confused, searching for something, and the church which should be welcoming them in, is leaving them outside with their hurt and confusion. However I believe its no accident that people are talking about "the Jesus revolution" today because the time is ripe. Also I believe typical modern "christian" music is not the answer for these young people. Its time for a new "Love song" Just my opinion.😀
