Finally, the complete historical account of how a lanky 19 year old college student became the Joe D' Mango that we know today and how Lovenotes was birthed in a small booth on the top floor of one the most iconic buildings in Ortigas in the 80's. This is the story of Joe D' Mango's Lovenotes.

I came across about Love Notes when I was in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I bought Manila Times newspaper and there I saw a column Love Notes and I was hook into it. Once a week lng ang dating ng newspaper. Having a penpal is one of our way to kill boredom. And I remember copying your advice sa isang letter that I sent to someone in the Phil. Gulat na gulat sya sa advice ko. Hindi makapaniwala, asking me how old I am. I was in my early 30's yata at that time. Tawa ako ng tawa when I read her letter. Sarap alalahin my experience about Love Notes.

When it was my turn already, I used to collect Love Notes’ articles sa Inquirer.
