I've only bought Lumix until recently. I picked up a refurb Canon r50 just because I wanted to try something else. Blown away at how much better my Lumix experience is. Maybe some is a new system, but I can't believe how much less Lumix charges for what they deliver.

As a Sony user, I’m envious of the price to performance of Lumix and the continuous firmware support. The one thing that keeps me from making the change is how many lenses are being pumped out for e mount and how few there are for l mount

I just hope that Panasonic will come back to “churn out” new PanaLeica lenses... either with some updates for older optics, improving optical quality, or by just making optics with the “strange” but useful focal range, such as the Tamron 35-150mm f2-2.8: if a PanaLeica 14-60 f2 or similar comes in the future, I will be the first to buy it!

honestly all we need is s1h ii that's all, the s1h but with better autofocus such as they did on the s5ii/x or even better if possible, internal ND would be nice but honestly don't care that much for it, perhaps internal memory, which is something that no other major brand is doing, lumix really has the potential to be a powerhouse in the market, I switched from canon to lumix once the s5ii came out and I am so happy with it.

I feel the only thing I want from panasonic is small m/43 cameras. I am a very satisfied costumer, and really like their small lenses, like the 35-100, but would love a very small m/43 version of the s9 as my everyday carry.

To add. I would like to see an airglu record control so all lumix cameras could trigger record from one lumix. Maybe a firmware and usbc tiny module 🤷💯🫶🫡 Lumix 👂send me a s1h2 😂Thank You

a GH7 with swappable lens mount, maybe with a speedbooster, would be amazing! That would open the doors to use all the L mount apsc lenses sigma makes
@video-carl7 сағат бұрын
alas, speedboosters occupy the space where the mirrorbox of a DSLR sat. there's no space for a speedbooster between two mirrorless mounts. MFT flange is 0.75mm shorter than the L mount flange distance.

I don't think Pana will go into the APSC lens market. And without making sales from lenses, why would they produce an APSC camera? For entry-level one, one would expect an update to the G100 - it's way below $1000.
@MatthewDangyou10 сағат бұрын
For investment of L mounts. You can for sure buy an entry level MFT camera which is great. But the moment you move to full frame your lenses (if they are native) no longer work. Entry level full frame under $1000 with l mount even an APSC would be huge
@video-carl9 сағат бұрын
@@MatthewDangyou very true mft->l mount. thems the breaks :) Did you know that there is a Z-Mount adapter that adapts FE lenses? Possible because of the very short flange distance of the Z mount compared with the FE mount. The adaptor is about 2mm thick!

APS-C is used by Canon, Sony and Nikon as the system to get them user into their system. Their cameras are cheap and you can buy Full Frame lenses and uses them until you can buy a FF bodies. This is the biggest Achilles heel of Panasonic. M43 and L mount are incompatible and you cannot uses the same lenses on both system. As Matthew said if you buy m43 lenses you can not use them on the L mount. They upgrade is steep at Panasonic. That is why Panasonic drop in marketshare. They have less then 5% marketshare where Canon has 45%, Sony has 25% and Nikon has 11%. All 3 has upgrade from cheap APS-C and then Full Frame. That is why Canon killed the EOS-M mirrorless when created RF. They need to make their FF compatible with very cheap APS -C in the same mount.
@video-carl9 сағат бұрын
@@angeloplayforone I figured Panasonic's market share was low because a) they didn't adopt it in FF until Jan 2023 & for MFT until Sept 2023 - they were panned in just about every written and video review for not doing so and b) they launched into FF late... 2019 but without PDAF and with no FF mirrored userbase. When do you expect Panasonic to announce its first APSC camera?
@angeloplayforone8 сағат бұрын
@@video-carl They said they will not introduce any APS-C cameras the same way they said that m43 is sufficient for professional use and they don’t need to go into FF format. Also they claimed PDAF decreases image quality and their DFD AF is sufficient. Let’s wait, they will switch their arguments. They went FF and embraced PDAF.
