It's great to be back. 😁 The support over the last few weeks has been incredible, and I just wanna say a massive thank you again to everyone who helped in any way! This video should explain exactly what happened to my channel, and where things are up to now. But for those who just want the short version: Alex hasn’t dropped the strikes, but MagnatesMedia is NOT getting deleted! 🥳 To Alex Edson (I know you’ll be watching this & filing a false privacy claim like you did to all the other creators)... I have deliberately NOT shared some of the more serious allegations against you that people have privately sent me, as I now consider this matter over. Assuming you don’t attack me or any other creators again, then I’ll go back to making my normal videos, you can go back to filing patents, and we can hopefully all move on with our lives. Obviously if Alex does try to come after me or anyone else, then there is A LOT more to show you all. I also now have comprehensive media insurance in place & 100’s of you have messaged about a gofundme for a countersuit - so if Alex does escalate things, we should be able to get some important case law in place to protect creators. However I imagine Alex is unlikely to wanna draw even more attention to his past activities, so hopefully this is now the end of it, and this will be the last time I ever need to mention the name Alex Edson. I had an incident with a channel where they had shown a document I created and shared privately. They used it during a video, falsified the reasoning of my watermark, and discredited me completely. I filed a strike when they chose not to publicly apologize and a credit me as the source. The channel responded with a counter which meant now I had to sue or else YT would unblock the video. I came to the same realization you expressed in this video that it's too costly. My point being, it cuts both ways. Glad you're back making these epic documentaries.

I had the same thing when I created a complete social media presence for my brand during covid. Then I built my online business. In 2021, someone registered a business using my business name...that person then contacted me on social media, with threatening letters to remove the name and close my business as they had it registered. In my case, I gave in and lost everything. I'm glad you stood your ground and fought it.

I received a “cyber bullying and harassment” strike on a channel of mine that had to do with reviewing music - in other words that strike made zero sense for the content I’m making. I had KZbin review this strike all the way up to management and they replied repeatedly with the same robotic response that the strike was correct. I asked how I violated the rule in detail and they declined to specify because that would allow people to “get around the policy rules” - an absurd reply because it would help people FOLLOW policy. In short, the KZbin system is HIGHLY broken including their staff

Sadly thats the law. KZbin has to follow rules like DMCA and sadly those said laws demans that the platforms take the word of the accusor first. Its mot a solo issue to copyright. Same exact problem can be found in many places like sex assault claims in colleges always take the girl's word as scripture and ignoring anything the guy has to offer in defense.

I am very happy that you were able to save your channel. I can see a lot of hard work goes into your videos. I wish the community would come to everyone's rescue how got treated unfairly by Google. I got banned from Adwords 13 years ago for doing something wrong that I still don't know what. I have asked Google to review it several times or at least tell me what I have done wrong and all they ever do is come back to say I am banned for life for violating their policies. They never allow me to escalate it, they never tell me what policy I breached and they treat me like a criminal. Only thing is that even murders go free after a while. With Google though, the convict you for life even if you don't know what you did wrong. A murder can appeal their sentence. Google sentences you once and for all. You can consider yourself very lucky, because once Google comes form you, it is over forever. I am being treated worse than a murderer by Google

I'm so sorry this happened to you John. But very pleased to hear the seemingly good news! As a relatively new creator, it's been scary to see there are guys like Alex out there with the sad but scary inclination to take it all away at a moment's notice. Watching you fight back and receive such a huge degree of community backing has been an inspiration. Hopefully, measures will be put in place now to prevent people like Alex from destroying livelihoods so easily in the future, and make youtube a safer community for creators. I started watching your business documentaries in late 2022 and was immediately hooked. Your editing and storytelling skills are amazing. I initially didn't get to see the carnegie video before Alex took it down and was confused as to why you hadn't uploaded in a while. I scrolled down on YT search and seen upper echelons first video on the situation. I was actually really scared. Your content is amazing and your my favourite producer of business mini movies and documentaries. I really didnt want your channel to go.
