I don’t trust Uber. My daughter was having an Uber pick her up at her home. She started to get in the car and something felt wrong. She saw the Uber driver who looked from a different country and another man in the vehicle. They looked very scary and gave her a really bad feeling. They really tried to persuade her to get in the car, even getting pushy and angry. She said, never mind, slammed the door and ran back into her house. they stayed in her driveway for five minutes and then left. She called and reported it to Uber but I don’t think anything came of it. She seriously felt that the creepy Uber driver and his creepy friend were involved in some kind of trafficking and knew if she got in that car her kids and us would never see her again. Needless to say, she doesn’t take Ubers anymore, thank God.

One reason he became so rich is that he owned a subsidiary company, Ikea Design, which owned all the design rights and that company received 3% of the sales price which went straight into his pocket. If you look closely on the name tag there's always this name on the tag.

I worked in store from 1999 through 2005 and never heard of Noid. I guess it wasn't a thing here? I did work for what is now the largest franchise outside the USA, the CEO of which was actually the owner of our much smaller franchise before merging. Also, my store was a test store for the Hot Cell and other innovations. But i didn't stay because i wanted to go into IT and my manager didn't want to lose me, so when i graduated University i quit and moved on

Greetings from the USA, I just came across your channel and I can’t thank you enough for this invaluable information. I’m 40 and just starting out as a KZbinr. Quick question about your “how to be a KZbin millionaire” video, did you study finance or just learn or as you went?

For the most part, I enjoy your videos on how poor individuals with terrible circumstances and great ideas became successful. However, the quality of your videos would improve greatly if you stop splicing images of Leonardo DiCapprio and Michael Keaton between those of the subjects of the videos. Big reason? DiCapprio and Keaton look nothing like them. Therefore they can't lend the support you want them to have to the storyline. Although I find the story itself intriguing, your continued use of movie footage that has nothing to do with Lamborghini or Ferrari makes it impossible for me to watch the video to its conclusion.

What did he (provably) do wrong ? Sounds like all the "slaves" were keen and well paid. And the animal cruelty was totally normal for the time. Once again, another great man of the past trashed by the do-gooders of today. If there's some proof of mistreatment of humans (over and above what was normal for the day) I'll change my mind. It's annoying how many people are childish enough to think they are INHERENTLY better than great men of the past. We are all products of our times, and there's things currently happening to children, under the guise of compassion, which will be despised and recognised as horrific, by people of the future IMO.

17:15 “IKEA effect” not sure how much I trust a paper from Dan Ariely in light of recent events. “Participants saw their amateurish creations… as similar in value to the creations of experts, and expected others to share their opinions” 🤔 was this study able to be replicated I wonder?
