Slight correction as I am watching an interview with Kyle on Louder With Crowder. Kyle did not pull the charging handle, which is apparent in the video footage, however he did say that he hit the forward assist which helps push the bolt forward to make sure a round is seated properly in the chamber. This is a minor detail and even with this admission, Gaige's testimony is still completely untrue. Gaige said Kyle pulled the charging handle to clear a round that failed to extract. None of that happened and Kyle's gun was still pointed downward until Gaige pointed his gun at Kyle so Gaige saying, "Kyle pulled the charging handle and I thought that was him refusing my surrender" was a complete lie. What I imagine they were going for is a play on how movies portray guns because everyone who has never handled a firearm before thinks guns are like they are in movies. In a movie, every time before someone is ready to shoot they pull the slide on a pistol, pull the charging handle on a rifle...etc. I think that was an attempt from Gaige and his radical lawyer to get the public to believe that Kyle about to shoot him. This is not how guns or those types of situations work. If you are going to a dangerous situation, the chamber should be loaded the second you pick up the gun. Not only right before you fire.

We need to start making laws for the media: - Retractions must be made in printing and in your website - If you have retractions to print, the front pages must be reserved exclusively for retractions. Nothing else is allowed on the same page that has a retraction on it. - Retractions on webpages must be displayed as splash page that the user must see and acknowledge before entering the website. These liars must not be allowed to bury their apologies.

Spend a year telling lies and brainwashing millions of people into a frothing-at-the-mouth frenzy of hate against someone. Put some text on a website and in the newspapers for a day, or a few weeks. No-one who has bought into the lies will give a damn about the retraction. I really like the "retractions of on the front page" and "a single retraction needs to take up all the space on the page, with nothing else to distract the reader" ideas. The problems I see in that are that I'm afraid that the average person's psychology will render that idea almost completely ineffective, and that this is not going to remotely work with how market forces dictate the news media will work, or how people share direct links to specific news stories. Liars, especially deliberate liars who operate in an organized campaign to destabilize nations, must get some form of severe justice for their abhorrent crimes. If only more people had a solid grasp on just how evil that behaviour is. It's worse than most of the simple "really evil" behaviours that the average person can think of, but it doesn't seem as immediately damaging, so it doesn't click in their heads.

To say he is guilty and treat him like he is means you are simply disregarding the rule of law in our country. I'm not the type of guy to think that law equals morality, but following the law because it is the common rule we all follow despite our differences and perspectives is important. You don't get to put your own beliefs before the law in this country without repercussions, that's to protect everyone, at least in the ideal circumstances that's how it should work. So when a citizen can have a jury rule that he isn't guilty and still have at least a vocal minority amount of people condemn him for what he has been ruled not guilty of, that's fucked up.

I'm not going to lie, I fell for this hook line and sinker. I was so upset after the verdict. I didn't follow the case because I felt I already knew how it was going to end just based on my biases I have about America's justice system. I saw him the way the media wanted me to see him and was like "of course this white kid will get off." I was wrong! I don't think he's a hero or anything, I actually think it was pretty dumb of him to go out there with a weapon and irresponsible of his parents to allow him to be out there. However, legally I'm glad the system did its job. This very same media push happens to people who look like me everyday and it's wrong on so many levels. I hate it. It's really scary how misinformation can spread and the divides the media can create. Going forward I'm promising myself to look at other sides of arguments more and collect as many facts as possible before joining a discourse.

Ita wild that this showed up for me because im currently enrolled in a liberal arts college and im taking law classes and criminal justice courses. One of the courses is called.Race and Racism. In my law we covered the entirety of the Rittenhouse case because my teacher is also an active lawyer. After spending about 6 hours total through several classes of covering the case it is WILDLY apparent that Rittenhouse acted in self defense and wasnt the aggressor in any way, but just 2 days after coverinf the whole case im sitting in my RnR class and im just hearing people calling Rittenhouse a murder and that he only walked free becuase hes white and all this random shit. And it was so jaring to me that at a school tht covers cases like this and shows the intricate nature of law and understanding how it works that these people that are of the same level of education as me can just sit out flat lies about the case that, if they spent 5 minutes watching the video evidence in the case, were obviously not the case. Even the teacher of the class was doing this. It was such a weird experience to me that this could happen

I have to ask this question: Are humans simple enough to write off an entire race of people just based on one characteristic? I don’t think we are that shallow to do that. I think that needs to be pointed out more often. I do, however, think people can write off an entire group of people based on their beliefs. That is totally possible.
@aaaaii65113 жыл бұрын
Yes, unfortunately I don't like Joe Rogan, but he was able to say something along the lines about how humans have some type of social tribe like circle. It is where 500 people is the max we can care about ,and our belief that it's okay. That is because it has something to do with population and reproduction just incase there is not enough women to repopulate with and enough guys to help you do it and hunt in packs. After that 500 people, we can easily look at homeless people die on the side of the road. Over the occupied time of child hood it develops near the beginning of puberty when you (reproductive) organs begin the maturation stage. We change this 500 by people we meet through out a life time. But it would be different if that man was a little girl. The psychology and a number of multi social/ psychological ways different cultures around the world react and have gathered in this country, make it so the media affects there effects/ reactions in a different way. This is where the media comes into play. To control them and show them what they should think and to eventually control how we think. So that will loose the ability to think for ourselves. Use it or loose it as they say. I believe things will get worse. And eventually the worst is yet to come where these people are killed off only after being used and sale themselves. I wont say anymore. Because giving bad people good ideas is the exact reason smart people are quite. That is why they say, "say less" and sometimes but not always "less, is more"

There have been dozens of controversial stories where I was amazed and shocked that so many people could be so easily misled but the Rittenhouse Trail is just another level. It’s hard for me to put in words how angry and distressed it makes me feel seeing so many people online repeating outright lies. I’ve been thoroughly red pilled for over a decade now but this trial specifically has been a massive black pill for me. it takes a Herculean amount of willpower for me to not spend hours of my time refuting and arguing with both strangers and people I genuinely care about online. I’ve always understood that the majority of people will just repeat what they’re told by the corporate press but for whatever reason I can’t shake the anger this time. Sometimes I genuinely feel like I’m losing my mind.
@lawrencemorris22613 жыл бұрын
The 'anger' is that you know your right and you finally have the facts to prove it this time. It's simply that it's more-immediate-than-usual power that your unable to use. What you feel is righteousness, not anger.
@OddHarvey3 жыл бұрын
@@lawrencemorris2261 I agree that it’s righteous anger 100% but it’s not the first event that I’ve had the receipts to prove my point for. I understand that people take what the media gives them at face value and I accept that, as tragic as it is. With this trail specifically, I’ve been following it since it happened and have been emotionally attached to it from the start. What I mean to say is what distinguishes this event from others in the past for me personally is when I see people repeating lies for other stories it doesn’t make me want to physically harm them. But with this trial I just want to lose it lol I’m being hyperbolic but you get the point

@疲れた I typically have that outlook and have had that outlook for a long time it’s really just this one topic that’s driving me crazy. After thinking about it A little I think it’s because I’ve been on Facebook for the first time in years recently and seeing people I grew up with and care about be so in the dark is a lot different than strangers and acquaintances on other platforms. I know these people aren’t stupid yet here they are seeing the world through the lens of the cathedral. Just a bit depressing.

@疲れた I feel I’m in the same boat. Recent events have definitely hurt my hope for friends and family but I think your outlook is a much healthier one. Even if it seems bleak I should at least try my best to stay optimistic for the people I know and love. It just sucks to see those people being misled because I think we all know where they’re being lead and who’s doing the leading.
@OddHarvey3 жыл бұрын
@疲れた I’ve been pretty optimistic in general but the past 5-6 years it just gets harder by the week. Honestly, it’s specifically the Rittenhouse situation that solidified just how deeply intrenched people are. But I really appreciate your outlook and you sharing it with me. Sometimes I just have to remind myself that I believe in God so feeling hopeless is ultimately a slap in the face to everything I believe in. At the end of the day, belief in God or not, things are going to play out as they’re “supposed to” whether we like it or not so all we can do is try to be there for each other and the ones we care about. God speed homie.
