For the latest 5-stars, every best cons is at C2. Hoyo saw with Raiden that dolphins and low spenders tried to get her C2, a good stopping point. Whales/leviathans will almost always pull for higher cons but the additional revenue of low spenders trying for a cons was deemed a success for Hoyoverse.

For sure! A broken C6 or C4 is out of most players’ reach. C2 still requires 3 copies, but it seems more plausible that you could get it if you just spent x amount for that one last copy or the next rerun. And heck, if C2, then why not try going for the weapon just to max x character’s potential as much I can? Like a dangling carrot for low spenders or dolphins to chase :o

She's literally 2nd Bennet of the game.Have energy recharge, has resistance to interruption, can increase her damage through chakra system, has free Noblesse oblige in her elemental skill, Free electro bonus from her passive, can fit into sh!t ton of team comps. Perfect Archon.

Speaking of Zhongli’s C2, I was surprised to learn that this constellation is actually somewhat viable from rotation perspective. It basically allows you to start any fight with his Q, bypassing long casting times of Hold E + Q combo, which is considered a DPS loss. And spamming (when built accordingly) Planet Befall every 12 or so seconds is kinda juicy, not gonna lie. And hey! Albedo’s C2 gives him a cute flower!!! Definitely ‘most broken’ tier material.

Wait so people were angry at C2 Raiden cause it was so early??? Or cause it was so op in general? Because hating it cause it's so early like... Makes no sense. If you're not gonna spend it doesn't change anything for you anyways, but it does make saving up for it way easier and if you want to spend a bit you don't have to spend much to get it. Back when she was released, people thought Raiden was a main DPS with a lil bit of utility, only to realize her pre C2 personal damage was very mediocre which gave an early sentiment of her being bad overall at C0 and therefore NEEDING her C2 to be an actual unit. Of course once people started to fiddle with her more, they realized how broken that "little bit of utility" actually was, found out rational team etc, and realized how good she was even with "meh" damage, so the sentiment didn't last.

It's funny how you have to decide whether you get 2 character constellations or just one copy of their signature weapon depending on your luck. In Raiden's case it's pretty obvious which one is better value.

Funny thing with C2 Klee is that it wasn't deemed as broken before because there was only Jean and Sucrose who can reliably suck up the mines towards enemies, which was wonky and a hassle. You sometimes have to rely on enemy stepping on the mines to apply it as well. But now we have Kazuha who can suck those mines and apply that defense reduction reliably, and add Kazuha's own VV shred + buffs, it amounts to ridiculous damage amplification for the whole team, most notably on mono-pyro setups. They pretty much indirectly buffed C2 Klee via Kazuha and its abusable and borken AF now.

As a klee main with c2, It works so well when I'm playing klee with friends. All I gotta do is spam the heck out of my jumpy and hope they keep walking into them while my high level friends just attack with their strong characters. Note: I have a level 70 klee that does barely 1k dmg with dodoco tales boost, so I mostly just rely on my friends in coop and elemental reactions in solo. That doesn't stop me from being a klee main tho and the fact she is my only character that does 1k XD

I like your topic, I have also noticed that Hoyo is trying to increase character's capabilities in c2 + increasing the c3 skill for dolphin's satisfaction. This is their way of selling the characters. Like for Nilou and Nahida, (spoiler), we can say that they have very good C2s and will further increase their capabilities at c3 to c6.

As someone who has C3 Eula on my main and accidentally got her at C0 on my alt in her rerun, I can confirm that her C2 makes a massive difference if you're using her as a hypercarry. You can keep pale flames buff up 100% of the time and never have to worry about being able to properly set up your burst. Plus more mini-nuke.

@@cutee1703 in terms of actual damage in a full team shes on the lower end of 5 star dpses, but unlike someone like ayaka and ganyu she has a lot of potential to get better if they ever release physical specific supports. her lack of reaction really inhibits her from the constant high damage of other characters.

I started properly playing in 2.3 and I just loved the design of itto I was also fairly new at the time and didn't know the wishes would be that limited so I grinded and kept pulling on the itto banner and managed to get C2 his weapon and C6 Gorou nowadays I'm way more careful and would rather roll for more characters than constellations but I don't regret C2 itto at all he's a lot of investment but I think it was worth it overall since I do a lot of damage in the abyss I'm now looking forward to next patch since I can add Albedo to this team and have the ultimate Geo team

I joined 2.3 too and got Qiqi. I'm actually greatful that I did because I didn't unlock Inazuma up until a month later and since then Qiqi has been my only standard banner character. I've been winning 7 50/50s since 2.4.

I think early powerful constellations are pretty beneficial, honestly. It absolutely does entice you more to spend, but for those who do it feels like a nice boost early on rather than a painful slog through mediocre trinkets until you reach an actual upgrade, like with Xiao. It makes no sense for constellations to start out weak and improve linearly as you go down, as that would be bad for everyone. Throw a strong one in there at 1 or 2, make it feel worth it and not like wasted pity.

yes it’s definitely nice but it’s also important to consider the sheer dps increase. when an “early” constellation is literally game breaking people will feel the need to pull more, and since in-game primogem sources are limited they will likely spend actual money. but it is not an early constellation, as none of them are, just due to the amount of primogems (and real life money) you have to spend to even get a single copy. since it’s not gigawhale worthy it feels like it should have been part of her initial kit, but it’s not. it’s clearly just bait to get people who only have the resources for “early” constellations to still spend tons of money because of how rewarding it is even if they had never even spent any before. if it was a c6, nobody would feel pressured to get the constellation because it would feel out of reach and excessive, but oh well it’s just a c2 might as well get it. might be silly and pull for c3 for burst damage too

You don't need cons for any five star. Not even five star weapons for that matter. Or even five star characters in the first place. Game is braindead toddler levels of easy, everything dies in half a rotation with a mediocre team built in 1.0 and it will always be that way. Until there's an actual challenge in the game, nothing is worth even doing in this game. In fact events and exploring are pretty pointless too, as all you get is primos to pull with and materials to upgrade, when it's not needed. As a "game", it makes no goddamn sense. If any other game adopted this philosophy it'd die in a week. I don't get the support this shit gets, it makes billions yet can't implement an endgame for people that want it so everyone is happy because of "anxiety" 🙄

I actually really love powerful C2 five stars. The reason is I'm not a whale and I'm probably never ever ever going to get a C6. Characters like shen pretty much operate the way I want them to with their C6 and that just feels bad. It feels so bad that I'm probably never going to get her because I'll have that looming in the background. The strong C6 five stars should have been reserved for the standard banner.

The only 5 star (aside from the standard ones) I have with C2 are the archons. Yes, when I got C2 zhongli, I decided to get C2 Raiden and Venti's cons as well. Zhongli C1 was also my first limited 5 star constellation, which was purely by luck and then I saved up for his c2.

I do like c1/2 being broken because I can get those on reruns. In my case: I unlocked Hu Tao and Raiden on their first banner, Homa and englufing in the second and C1 Hu Tao on the third while now saving for Raiden. This way even after having her lv 90, triple crowded with a great set I still know there's room for improving and more important: I know it's double.

​@@chaosinfernoid9008 technically, f2p can get a 5 stars character every 2 patches (90 pull) and a guarantee their character every 4 patches (180 pull) and this math is at your worst luck that needs 90 pull for a 5 stars character so with careful planning, you can get c2 without spending any money in their second rerun (if you got that character during their first banner)

The reason many 5* now have good C3s is because they realized, probably with data, that C2 is the stopping point for many people. For example, if you luck into C1 your FOMO really kicks in if you know the next constellation will be one of the best. As a BP+Bless player constellations don't interest me, as I would rather have another 5*, than 10-25% more damage. But for low-spenders, I think, having a good C2 is much nicer than packing everything into the C6.

Since C2 Ayaka sub-bursts count towards the ICD on her burst, having C2 actually allows Ayaka to melt most of her big burst ticks. Which is strong and also completely impossible if the enemy decides to move. It's an interesting aspect tho imo

I see Raiden's C2 in a different way. C2 is broken. But is it necessary? No. Might be just me but I think her damage is already good enough, and even better than some other units for on field, with just C0 and The Catch. After all we have a broken Emblem set, her burst mechanics and passive all for increasing burst damage. And you stand on Bennett's Circle as well. You have Xiangling and Xingqiu. So why would I even be tempted by a C2 that's overkill. C2 is probably just for that Hypercarry Raiden.

I once met a super-helpful Zhongli player. He was C2 at least, judging by the supplementary shields he was providing us. I asked for a Kokomi (I usually do) when fighting Raiden weekly boss, and here he was removing the need for a healer. His shields were strong, and he was sending meteors down so frequently!! Mr Zhongli user if you read this, know that I am super stoked for your presence and assistance!

C2 Klee is too low in your ranking, it may not seem like much, but that’s a huge DPS increase for the full team Klee usually plays in mono pyro team w Klee Kazuha Benny and Xiangling, so Xiangling also gains a huge boost Also it has good uptime cuz Klee has 2 charges for her Jumpy Dumpty As a Klee main, I suggest every single Klee owner pulls for C2 I’d say it should be on par with Ayaka’s C2 Though C2 Ayala unlocks her melt build with sunfire Jean and this shit is really powerful too

I really appreciate good early cons. It feels like you're actually getting something for all the money or time you're spending on this game. C2 is 300 dollars on a good day and 500 on a bad day (USD). That's a lot of freaking money for a character. For my free to plays, if you are getting cons bless you and your patient soul. That has to have taken so long. My instant gratification brain could never. I personally don't roll for cons. Cyno broke the rule for me to get a C1 as I had spare primos sitting around but if you're paying cash like that... It should feel rewarding.

kokomi c2 is amazing in co-op because no one ever wants to get near your jellyfish also the only time i've won 3 50/50's in a row was getting c2 klee so i may be bias in thinking it's an amazing constellation and worth getting if you use her as a main dps. makes spiral abyss mad easy and getting 80k charged shots with no reactions is always fun. can't wait to go for her (quite literal) C4 >:)

solid game knowledge made this video really, really good. and I agree about constellations, I value ones that decrease cooldowns, increase durations, add charges, etc. because they change the gameplay however slightly over just a boring old damage increase

I certainly prefer the "all or nothing" mentallity with constellations. I would rather a few characters needing me to spend very heavily to pull all copies than almost always feeling obligated to add another copy or two to already premium characters to get all functionality out of them. C6 being broken makes some kind of sense(or as much sens as anythign can make within the context of gacha), it feels like a reward that not many will really see and so isn't something taken into that much account when evaluating the character. From my perspective as someone who has no issues spending, feeling a need for another copy or two for some 5*'s is annoying, but most players save and budget and plan for 5*'s, I can't imagine how shit it feels to go through that and then need to pull multiple copies to get full use out of the character.

Those late 5 stars are straight predatory method. By putting strong early cons, it urges low spender to spend more. Right now, i won't get early cons if it's benefits only at it's character dmg. But i'll pull if it works like somekind of buff for my roster like C2 Kazuha, or game changing mechanics like C1 Hu Tao (and that's still if i love the character so much).

As a diehard Xiao main (he’s the reason I started playing Genshin to begin with lol), I actually appreciate his c2 for a pretty unusual reason lol. I have always paired him with Jean (even before I had her at C4) but her energy gain is abysmal. So I chain Xiao’s skill and then funnel all the particles to Jean. Because of Xiao’s C2 I’m able to reliably refill BOTH of their bursts at the exact same time AND have the added benefit of activating Jean’s C2! I don’t have Faruzan yet, but hopefully I can figure out a smooth triple Anemo rotation when I do

For me C2-C6 on event 5* is the same thing, so for all I care they could all say "Auto-Clear Abyss with 36*" What I do dislike is having gameplay features locked behind them, but stuff like Raiden's C2 doesn't really matter to me. Especially since despite the opinion at the time, C0 is still great. Great C1s bother me more because it's an easier sell (just skip one character or "just" spend like 150€) and I have seen people pull C1s in a single multi, which makes me jealous and salty because it gives that feeling of "It could've been me" Personally for me a new character, even a 4* one, is worth more than any constallation. I tend to get bored of playing a character around the same time as I reach Friendship 10. My biggest regret is still getting C1 HuTao, just because 90% of the time I need to use Pyro nowadays, I'll choose Yomiya due to her being easier to use and I haven't played her as much.

Eula's C2 is amazing! Especially with C1 and Pale Flame P4 as you can have 100% uptime on both the C1 buff and Pale Flame buff. Not to mention a fully charged skill hits hard and reduces physical defense. Being able to use it more often makes overworld even more trivial. You did her dirty here.

Yelans cons are cracked and Nilous C6 is insane it is 30% crit rate and 60% damage for a con. That is like a free crit rate and crit damage artifact you get to use at the same time without using up an artifact slot. That is a decent damage increase while having free artifact slots for HP and EM.

Yoimiya c3 haver here! Yoi's c2 can stack actually! My current Yoi has 46.6 pyro dmg bonus. I did an experiment when I got her c2, and instead of just capping at 71.6 (+25), it went up to 91.6. (which is actually less than it should be, 96.6). She has 64.3 crit rate, and she crits pretty often, almost every other hit.

I like very strong early constellations just for the fact that you could get lucky(like my friend who wont shut up about it) where you get 2-3 copies of the character in a 10 pull. Also it being an early constellation means that if a dedicated f2p players really likes a character, they dont need to get forced to either wait for a long time to get enough primogems and reruns the get to the state they want or use their real money to get what they want

I fully agree. I understand that it's a bit of a bait for people to spend, but it's just really nice for low spenders and people who get lucky. Getting multiple copies in a 10 pull is amazing, but if the constellations are garbage then there's not much point to it. Good early constellations make it feel very rewarding

Kazuha's C1, C2, and C6 are all pretty amazing imo. I spent $100 for C1 on his 1st banner and then had 200 wishes saved for his second (also wanted Heizou cons at the time) my luck with Heizou cons was bad, however my Kazuha luck was insane. I got him to C5 in 200 wishes + converted starglitter, won every 50/50. Then I was on the fence about spending to try for C6, but did it anyway. Only $100 + $70 for C6 is pretty nice imo. C6 is quite fun and makes using him as a DPS much easier. I still have him on a VV set with a good amount of EM substats and an ATK, Anemo, Crit, set up with Jade Cutter though. I don't bother switching between support and DPS setup since everything dies anyway.

I will say that Yae Miko's c2 is much stronger than you're giving it credit for. It's not just increasing electro damage, or adding additional damage, it's changing her base damage modifier, which results in a solid jump in damage per E shot. The added range is just icing on the cake. For reference, at talent level 10 the totems base damage goes from 170 -> 213. Factoring in that this is applied anywhere between 10-15 times depending on your rotation, this adds up pretty fast.

Currently: - 24,000 without reactions - 26,117 with Guilded dreams active - 44,413 on Aggravate - 87,988 with a full team + Aggravate. (I can push these numbers higher) My ult doesn't exactly tickle, but with the same setup, each Tenko Thunderbolt hits for 67k~. Around 250k damage intotal on a 22 second cooldown. I only wish Yaes c6 applied to her ult as well. Would have been dope.

You know another reason why people love to pull constellation for Raiden is because her C3 already up her burst lvl by 3 (which in this case is what make her deal so much dmg) that's why most people will continue to pull for her C3 after getting C2 because that's literally what will make her so OP. i got kazuha back in the first golden apple arhipelago. i really liked his design and concept, with his skill and burst, never really liked sucrose and never got venti. he has never left my party ever since. i was f2p back then. After we got to inazuma i was so happy with my kazuha ive started to look into ways to make both him and my team stronger. ive read his c1 and liked the skill reset, but c2 was what i needed to get to over 1000 em. ever since childe rererun ive saved all of my primos for c2 kazuha, getting some welkins in the process to speed up the process. ive had so many wishes for kazuha rerun that i was still left with over 150 and decidd to get yae miko and her weapon last patch. long story short. im so happy with my c2 kazuha and he makes the game look 10 times easier when i play genshin. although ive noticed he has some trouble with climbing, he always slips down. i dont know what that is all about

Itto c2 for me is incredibly broken, thanks to it, i never have to worry about not having my burst up at all times, and given that he is absolutely broken as a dps, with his ult hitting 50-100k a hit, with the last hit at 80-140k, its really good. And ushi hitting 200k casually is really nice too.

I have c2 Venti, and I feel like this was made for early 1.0 Genshin days when they were still learning how to make 5* characters. I think they conceived Venti at first as a possible baby's first DPS for early game. All his c2+ cons read like small personal damage spikes and improvement of his battery. That's why the weird phys dmg shred, just in case you wanted to play shotgun Venti like phys Fischl. Or the triple charged arrows of his c1. It's a pointless cons tree for support swirl EM Ventis. Now about his c2 shred and after me using it a lot, again, it's definitely made for his personal dmg since you do E-Q with him, so you activate the second shred and hopefully the lighter mobs might get sucked while in the air. Now using it with Xiao is... doable, sure, but with the team rotations and burst animations it's way less than 10 seconds of shred you're getting for Xiao's burst. You can get a little improvement in the first plunges but that's it. The anemo shred isn't even that high (just 12%) and worse than c6 anemo traveler or c4 Jean (which most of us don't have lol), to add insult to injury. I don't regret getting it because my Venti is DPS build and his green ticks look a little thicker, but it's disappointing and difficult to use as a buffer for other anemos. Maybe it works better with Heizou since his attacks are faster and continuous? Sadly Heizou didn't want to come home so I can't test this yet

@@Hoolahups I don't think that's the case. You're confusing what the community found useful on early AR (a lot of DPS and surviving simpler enemies) with the foundations Hoyo was already setting up. VV shred and Benny buff always existed but it didn't matter back then when you couldn't even farm artifacts and you didn't need to be that insanely strong. EM wasn't even a stat people wanted in general, and Venti's best build used to be atk/anemo/crit. Even today, Venti isn't a support either. He's an off-field sub-DPS with some utility, which isn't what Hoyo expected on 1.0 probably but they approved this kind of build by making Elegy for even more team buffs and changing the EM meta for swirls (granted, that was done more for Kazuha, but it changed other anemos' builds and especially Sucrose and Venti's damage forever, and it made Venti's cons kinda irrelevant)

I mean if you look at 5 stars, kazuha was the first true support, and shenhe was the first 5 star support to be well received on launch. Also sorry, you lost me at Kazuha as a real support? What the fuck? The guy's also a sub-DPS! He makes an absurd personal damage and he can delete almost anything on exploration with just one element, even as a full EM build. Hell, his c6 even make him a possible main DPS for whales. I guess some people just use him as a buffer/shredder and switch to their cracked hypercarry but you cannot be serious by saying he's the first true support. He's not. I understand the frustration of having a significantly weaker character because you have c0 instead of everyone having c2 but those early cons being fun and interesting makes things like accidental back to back 5 stars actually exciting opposed to characters to like Albedo and Yoimiya who I got 2 in a single 10 pull for each and those c1s are just so boring that it was impossible to even really be excited by it. So tldr, I like the OP cons as long as long as the c0 character is competent, which someone like Raiden is.

@@Domak04 C6 makes him literally broken, on what Copium are you on. You gain first and foremost 2 additional attacks EVERY TIME YOU ATTACK. And these scale of his ATK Statx3. So If you have 3000 ATK, you will do 9000 additional Damage and two strikes, so that's x2= is 18K additional damage. How is that worse then C2, that maybe adds a few thousends only? It' literally doubles your damage from C5 to C6 i believe it was.

I'd say Eula's C2 is more useful in case you are late on her rotation, and allows you some leeway to maximize her damage. It really more gives you a margin of error rather than a damage boost.

This is a bit late for me to comment, but I personally think Nilou and Nahida's C2's are pretty busted. Nilou's shreds hydro once the sequence is finished and additionally shreds Dendro when making bloom reactions. Nahida's leaked kit shows that her C2 let's bloom reactions and Nilou's Bountiful Cores crit though they're locked at rates of 20 cr and 100 cd, and shreds def if you do the quicken reactions

For me broken c2 are great! (As long the characters is funtional at c0) because it givss you something else to look forward to after you have min/maxed your favorites. My exemple: After one year of maining Raiden and still loving her, I first farmed a good set, then triple crowned her, then the engulfing at the rerun (at hard pity) and now finally her c2 for free with a bit of saving and a lot of luck. I did also main Hu Tao, but after c1 I dont feel like having much space to grow left unfortunately.

Something you're not considering for Yoimiya's C2 is that it adds additional Pyro damage, along with her A2 passive. With all this Pyro damage bonus added to her kit, it makes it more favourable to run an EM sands with ATK goblet for her Vape comps, without losing out on DPS potential from the normal ATK/DMG/CRIT setup.

Force Lightning and force choke not included. That's the problem here. Most gachas just increase the dmg or make them more efficient at something like backstabbing etc. Genshin RIPS OUT aspects of a character design and then sells it back to you in their constellations. Their still functional, but feel nowhere near as fun without their extra copies

The funny thing about broken constellations or just constellations in general, is that any cons are now almost unnecessary, the only place you basically need more power and/or utility to finish much easier is the abyss or anywhere similar to the abyss(which is impossible now to have lol). So powerful c2's are basically better since you can treat c2 as the new c6, it may sound weird but it makes sense since a strong character at c2 is and would always be better than a strong character at c6. There is no demerit of having a huge power boost at the earliest stage possible since this would save money for most players who are after the best but cheapest way possible for a huge power boost for their character.

I think on the contrary. In fact, you’ve exactly fallen into hoyo’s trap here. If you _don’t_ try for c1-2 on multiple characters but just commit to C6-ing one or two, you can do it with just Welkins over a couple of years, since reruns are becoming more frequent now. But because now every new char also wants two more pities for a strong early con, you never have the funds to commit to C6. Don’t get fooled. C6 is not just for whales, it’s also for patient people who know their priorities. Making you want all the shinies at once and overspending while never actually getting closer to real high constellations on anyone is exactly what hoyo wants.

I was actually just thinking about some of the C1 characters I own, and whether I wanna go for c2 or not lol. Definitely kazuha and most likely itto, because he has 100% energy recharge. I got a nice crit ratio from artifacts, but sadly that domain wasn't too nice to me so he has no ER. It's very, very underwhelming. Probably Yoimiya but she's c0 atm and I still haven't gotten raiden but c2 is just a dream for now. I got 2 Cynos in a ten pull so I take its meant for me to go to c2

I wouldn't recommend it on Yoimiya. She already gets so much bonus DMG from her skill and artifact set that 25% Pyro dmg isn't much of an improvement, not to mention that you need to get the useless C1 as well. C2 is about a 10% total damage increase.
