I have had 13 2hr sessions. I had 70 greys of radiation for tonsil cancer and need to have a tooth in the radiation field pulled. I am a high risk for orn. Radiation left me with limited head movement and sagging neck. I now have almost full painless head/neck mobility and sagging skin is gone. I feel better than I have in years. Praying for successful oral surgery.

We are in the same boat. I had tonsil cancer and radiation as well and now need 3 teeth removed due to radiation rot of teeth even tho I have taken very good care of my teeth since radiation 11 years ago. Trying to get insurance to pay for 20 HBOT treatments before extraction and 10 after, as that is what my oncologist recommended. Still in limbo waiting for approval. Any suggestions?

I've done 2 times 2 hours in the last 26 days, and I'm definitely feeling my health improving. HBOT is so powerful. I'll probably increase to 2 hours a week soon and possibly increase to even more depending on how much improvement I can notice. Even a session on its own can't be discarded. Would there be any point in doing 5 treatments for a bulging disc? My insurance doesn’t cover it at all, and five treatments is going to cost about $1200. Would it be worth it and give a jumpstart on healing? Or would it be a waste of money if we couldn’t continue?

@HBOTUSA5 ай бұрын
I’ve done a few videos on that. Depends on the pressure someone needs, home chambers are not capable of higher pressures typically. Also on space in the home, costs etc. some for some people yes that’s the best bet. For others it’s best to go somewhere and make sure you are getting the right pressure and percentage of oxygen. I would say it’s case by case

What frequency and duration would you suggest for purely 'maintenance' rather than to fix a problem?

Previously my question here was simply too long, so I'll state my questions again. My doctor prescribed a hard chamber and started a specific protocol beginning at 1.3 ata, 60 minutes, 5 days on 2 days off. The protocol has progressed with treatments that moved me in steps to 2.0 ata and later on possibly to 2.4 ata. I'll skip the medical reasons for privacy. Our elevation is 5,000 feet. How does a higher than sea level elevation affect all of this, tissues and physics... I do not know the terms, however I believe that tissues respond to pressure differentials. Example: Will a treatment protocol at 2.0 ata at sea level yield the same results as when it is done at a higher altitude or very high altitudes? How does altitude factor into the physics of this? I am a diver so my questions are a little bit like high altitude diving. I understand that safe self-regulation within this industry is important. Do my questions have any basis at all? Thanks.

Hi, my mother is suffering from radiation proctitis, due to which, she had developed a rectal ulcer, that bleeds frequently. However, she has been treated with mesalazine enemas and tablets, sucralfate enemas, oral steriods, probiotics and pantoprazole etc. Lately we have opted for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, she is being given treatment at 0.7 bars and her Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy team says that they will gradually increase it to 1.5 bars, my question is that what ATA will be achieved from these pressures and are these effective to treat radiation proctitis????? Does using HBOT once a week 1-2 hours per session for a long term still have benefit? Does the benefit increase each session?
@HBOTUSA Жыл бұрын
There are some short term benefits, and once a week can be ok as part of a maintenance protocol. But the main HBOT benefits that are often desired come from larger doses/frequency, as discussed in this video. Generally speaking, we often recommend doing a larger protocol (4 to 6 hours a week for 8 to 10 weeks) a few times a year, with maintenance protocols in between.
@MangoCow Жыл бұрын
Are the benefits lasting? Or do you have to continue to do this forever (maintenance)? I’m set to do this 2-3 times a week soon and it’s for PTSD and mental health, ‘waking up’ the brain I was told, for energy and healing etc. (brain health)… does that sound about right?

So basically this is unaffordable or unattainable for most people. Health insurance won't cover most treatments for this so I don't know how you people are affording so many sessions. They won't even give me affordable health insurance without paying $500 a month and $7,000 deductible before I even get a discount. And I'm in the low income bracket go figure ! how come I can't get insurance and so many people that make so much more money than me get free insurance without paying a damn dollar.
