Something about those gibson-esque inlays on the old-school black avenger that just looks so good I wish they made more guitars especially in the avenger shape with those inlays only the zv models seem to have them nowadays i wish they still had the s1 models as well simple guitar but beautiful. I missed out on the reissue of the 03 avenger that they did for the commemorative series the bat country avenger but thankfully I have the other model in that run the city of evil c1 (which in my opinion is the best syn model they've made yet) I like having the syn guitars that pay homage yet u could easily play your own music on them without having his likeness posted everywhere, still love the typical syn models with his likeness and deathbat on the fretboard but I've got the city of evil c1 and a synyster special in black(almost bought the prototype of the white synyster special which came with original floyd rather than 1000 series also all hardware was black rather than black chrome that came on the production models) with us guitar players it's all in the fine details haha. Great video not enough a7x guitar collection videos out there so glad this adds to it. Also it would be super rad to have that red syn model and swap out the invaders for the red versions and look more like his og prototypes that he played in the beast and the harlot music video, wish they would give zacky some commemorative models as well like his city of evil s1 or the beast n the harlot s1. Still on the lookout for the rare zv special models goldburst With the clear pickguard or even more rare the silverburst version that was sold as a prototype via drumcityguitarland back in the day that u can see him using for a c# guitar on the live in the lbc video.

Now, while I may not be a big floyd rose fan,I did like his model and always wondered what a hardtail model would feel and play like.

I had wanted the black and red model from the beast and the harlot video for 15 years, found it used for 600 bucks custom model via guitar center. Bought it and called on my day off to verify it was there before i left being it was a 45 minute drive, they fucking sold it to someone else it was gone but they DID refund me my money and apologized for the inconvenience offered me another model at a discounted rate however i was so depressed and angry at them i didnt care and bought the gold sustain model from a seperate website the next day.

There's a few that are other there as well, and a couple of cool one offs he has done. Let's see if I can remember them: American flag Releb flag (for Dimebag Darrell) German flag Natural wood with The Revs likness carved or burned into the wood (The Revs parents own it now) The 2 versions of the joker guitar (his model with the joke face, and the production models that don't have the face for copyright reasons) There's a black w/ blue stripes that was a limited run of like 50 (I think) The red rum in reverse colors, with red pickups And all the various custom shop versions (way to many to name, but atleast 15 different colors and variations thus far, usually sold by Drum City Music)

What a nice collection, I've just got myself a standard, it gets delivered tomorrow, I can't wait to plug her in. I'm a Les Paul/ SG owner, and I've never had a guitar with a Floyd Rose, so this is out of my comfort zone, something tells me it's gonna be fine.

Thank you! You'll love it. I've had two of the SYN Standards, and they are great guitars! I think you'll be surprised how comfortable these guitars are when setting, or standing while playing. Congrats!

@@DeweyJHall1 Thanks for the quick response, the guy I got it told me it's had a full set up done. In your opinion, how long does it generally take before it will need setting back up again. I have a full grasp of normal guitars, so do you think it wouldn't be much of a challenge for me to work out the floyd rose.

@@fredzep01 Thing about floyd Roses, is once you get them dialed in, you hardly ever have to touch them again, far as set ups. If you change tunings or string gauges, that's when you have to re adjust everything. It's not that hard. There's plenty of great tutorials on youtube on how to set them up. It looks daunting, but they aren't that bad, once you get the hang of it. Just watch a bunch of tutorials to educate yourself on them, and then go for it. Just take your time, and don't get in a hurry. Especially when you aren't familiar with them

I was unfamiliar with Schecter until about 2 years ago when i played and bought my c-1 hellraiser and it's easily the best guitar I've ever played and I've been wanting to get more from them and these that you have here are so badass I'm really tempted. Having played so many, what model would you recommend to someone with $1000 budget?

Thanks for watching Josh! With a $1,000 budget, I'd definitely go used. Most of the top schecters are around $1500 new, anymore. I'd check reverb and ebay, plus your local Facebook marketplace. My favorite schecters are these Syn Gates Custom models and the E-1 models they have. The Syn Gates customs you can find usually between $700-$1,000 used, depending on the condition and if they have a case. The E-1s usually range about the same, but they're aren't as many of them out there. If you decided to go with something similar to the hellraiser, you could try the c-1 elites, or blackjack. If you go with those, you maybe able to get 2-3 excellent quality schecters for 1k. I'd stick to the made in Korea models as they are the highest quality

Nice collection! I see you also play in the classical position, any problems you've had with the avenger body shape? Was thinking about an EII arrow but just seen this drop in stock and now I'm undecided ( got a hellraiser c1 so I'm expecting the SG to feel quite similar )

Thanks for watching! No, the Avenger body is perfect for classical playing position. Or any playing position. You wouldn't think it by looking at it, but it's one of the most comfortable body shapes there is. I've tried just about every shape in some form, or another, and it's one of my favorites. If I'm doing a long practice session, 9/10 times I'm reaching for an avenger. The upper horn keeps your from leaning over the guitar to far. So you keep much better posture, especially if you're playing in classical position, and don't get as tired playing for long periods of time. Plus, you can get access to all the frets easily. With no hand strain, or hinderance from the lower horn. I can't recommend the Avenger shape enough, really

@@DeweyJHall1 Coming back after quite some time, but did pull the trigger and the guitar is simply amazing. The first day the upper horn seemed a bit to get in the way but quickly adjusted and now it's no factor. Also didn't know what to expect from the pickups but they are just great, probably a new favorite for the moment, especially the neck one. With regards to the neck also got only praise, was used to the thin C but I'm liking the ultra thin a tad more for solos ( To mention also, went for the HT version ) Thanks again for the help!

Sick collection you have! Im quite new in the Synyster Gates guitarworld. Someone in my area sells the same white one as you showed (5:12) but it has gold inlays instead of silver. I cant seem to find any information on it. Do you have any idea? much appreciated!

@@jdoxTV unless they've changed it in the last year or so, I believe the only ones with the satin neck would be the gold satin model, or the satin dark earth burst. Don't let that deter you from the gloss neck becuase they are fast as can be. Just wipe them down with a microfiber polishing cloth ever so often to remove dust and hand oils

@@electricgen6665 No, I haven't. There shouldn't be any gain loss on the bridge pickup regardless. It's a passive pickup, so it doesn't need the battery to operate. The only time the battery comes into play, is when when sustainiac is switched on. Make sure it is switched off and see if it still has gain loss. Change the battery also. If that doesn't fix the issue, you could need to spray your pickup switch with some electrical contact spray. Sometimes dust, and moisture can gunk it up, and not allow proper contact, making the pickup lose volume and gain
