I remember starting with the Blade MSR as my first hobby grade heli. What a rocket ship that was indoors compared to the air hogs stuff I had as a kid.

I'm old too! Started with a DuBro Whrilly Bird then a Kalt Huey Cobra and then finally had success with a Schluter Huey Cobra! Next was a DuBro Hughes 300 with the O&R Compact engine and then other Schulter, etc choppers. Lots of fun and a lifetime of chopper fun! Still have my Signature Series radio too! Cheers and I really like your videos

American Revolution 60 was my first. No Gyro. Big tail fin. Best to fly in a slight breeze to help hold it. The 120 is in my collection of the 30 or so Helicopters I have today. Its a really stable flyer. I was always amazed how well the tail held while its making all that noise! Thanks Dave for the Vintage Helis. Keep at it :)
@NightFlyyer2 ай бұрын
Right on. John Simone (American RC Helicopters) taught me to fly on the Mantis first. Nothing had gyros back then. I agree about the tail. When I developed it for Kyosho/Ishimasa on the first electric heli, mine was very quiet compared to what it has evolved to. Thanks and I will be flying that soon, as well. Happy flying.

I started in May 2021 with a Blade 230S V2. But it was making me the start so much more difficult. Three months later I bought a OMPHOBBY M2 Explore and I made within 3 days more prpgression with this well balanced and powerful little direct drive heli than with the Blade in 3 months. Meanwhile I sold the Blade 230S. But for sure to start with a not so great flying machine had it's plus: It teached me perseverance and to be very modest in my goals! Thanks for the nice video! It was so nice to see the warm thank you to your wife and camera woman! I am as well so lucky to have such a understanding wife AND Cameraman in one person! This helps so much!

That is my go to helicopter to brush the rust off my fingers when I want to fly helis. I have 3 of them now for no good reason other than I found them cheap at swap meets over the years. I started on an Esky Big Lama Co-axial and still have that old bird as well.
@NightFlyyer2 ай бұрын
I agree. A person has to know how to fly, to fly this. No fancy anything, but it is fun to fly. I made a video on that Big Lama years ago.. It kept crashing into itself in the wind. LOL. Thanks and happy flying.

GM, Dave & that 120 was a rocket ship for me. My 1st were the Syma Military Series Helicopters which are all co axials . I do miss the WLT flybar v911 Pro f/p Those were inexpensive, zippy & nearly indestructable.
@NightFlyyer2 ай бұрын
I agree, and as you saw I flew it kinda fast at the end of the video. Just did a video on the WLT X1, along with my Blade 230S with lighted blades. Tiny and twitchy but will fly nice like the V911. Thanks alot.

Dave, I have this heli also. I see you are using a Dx8 Tx. I have the Dx6 and Nx6. I would like to know how you binded to your Dx8? I should be able to bind to either of my transmitters but how ?
@NightFlyyer2 ай бұрын
Turn on the helicopter first and set it on flat. Then wait til the red light starts blinking rapidly on the back of the heli. Then turn on TX, make a new model, Scroll to Bind, click bind, and wait a few seconds and Voila! You can also Hold Bind Button Down on Transmitter while turning it on, and it will bind. Thanks an happy flying.

Dave I bought the Blade msr in September 2010 and flew it about a year but only in my Mobile Home and I bought the one you are flying in this Video in the early Summer 2011 but I found this Fixed Pitch Helicopter a bit Wonky and the small lipo batteries were also appeared to give only a couple minutes flight time. I currently still fly the Blade mcx2 helicopter basically inside and have owned a few of them since October 2010. It is a relaxing helicopter for inside Flight when it is the Winter Season and inclement weather Year round. Happy RC Flying 😊💯🚁

Heck ya! This 120 helicopter really requires knowing how to fly a helicopter, vs today's auto everything, and I agree, this one takes some getting used to, but as you saw at the end, it cranks!. I love the MCx2 as well. Perfect indoors. Thanks and happy flying to you too.
