Guys, a couple things; Today you save me from a little desperation attack. I have a motorboat that has an engine problem we are just getting started on. The news is getting worse as we go further in diagnosis...but I can see a finish point I think. The way you guys are handling your projects gives me confidence that there is an end to the project...time and money. Second, the way you are able to work together to solve problems with just a few quacks, never aimed at each other is an inspiration for this 22 year married guy. Keep that. Subscriber and loving it.

I just finished viewing your videos and was pleasantly entertained. Kirk for a person that has little to no knowledge of woodworking or mechanic you are doing a fantastic job. You Loraine are a true asset to the team by complementing Kirk. You two are a nice team to see together. I hope your real life is as you portray on the videos, because its going to be a real test when you get out on the oceans and out of easy access to help or a way to get some alone time. I really like that you are taking this journey early in your life and not like me at 65. But hey as long as you have fun doing it, don't let what other people say bother you. Live your life and enjoy i to the max. I like the fact that you are able to get out of the rat race that is what most of us are in and enjoy life as it should. We have two years left then we are out in the woods, on our lot off grid and doing our thing. We have been working at this for our years, hopefully in two more years we will move there.

Can I just say, thank you so much for not cutting the part about what to do about the patches left untreated on the hull because of the jacks! It's been driving me nuts when I see similar projects on other channels -- hahaha. I really find your videos inspirational from the DIY perspective, because it's little details like those (and actually providing details around costing, timelines, the troubleshooting, etc.) that really helps give me confidence with tackling some of the projects myself. But beyond that -- these videos are super addictive (and binge-worthy) -- I feel like I'm on a similar path, and the dynamic between the two of you is simply adorable and phenomenal example of teamwork. Thanks for sharing your journey with us!

You should probably take this opportunity to replace the copper fuel lines as well. The new standards are that the fuel hose meets or exceeds all requirements of new ISO 7840 and SAE J5127 standards required by USCG, ABYC and NMMA. About $3.50/ft for 5/16 line is cheap insurance against another leak.

Hey guys.. just a head up for next time to make your life's easier.. you cam pick up a cheap grinder for like $14 at a hardware store.. then instead of a metal blade I picked up some sandpaper pads for the grinder. I was able to strip through 7 layers of paint primer and bondo in no time on a chevelle. That small square can be sanded down in about 5 minutes.. just a small input for you guys to help save time and money in the boat yard. Keep up with the videos you're doing great. I’m currently sailing a boat with an outboard engine, and I’ve been looking for a new boat. Your videos,(which I love) have convinced me to buy a boat with an old engine and gut it out and go full electric. I only use power to go in and out of the marina and have no desire to do the great loop or any other place where I can’t use sail power. I drive an electric car and the propulsion is so much better.
