Am I the only one who actually almost feels bad for getting so much info for free? This is amazing!

Alessandro, you are absolutely right. I'll have to find some way to reward him. Just started watching him about three weeks ago.

Great info as always man. Totally agree with the differential of deadlifts to the other two lifts. Being a conventional puller really taxes you and doing comp deadlifts more than x1 a week isn’t enough for recovery. I do like to do stiff legs, block pulls, pause or snatch deadlifts on secondary days

It's really great video Brendan. I looking forward for video about the influance of reps, sets, dropsets/myo+myoreps and esspecially RP scale for muscle strenght and hypertrophy mechanism. I was wondered when I had heart that we don't have to train around 2 reps in tank to make your training goals. I also interested in the importance of technic day when we train really far from muscular failure like 8 reps. This video made me thought-provoking.

Great info! Need to get into velocity based training. Literally nullifies the entire RPE system and will take autoregulation to the next level once you can figure out the numbers for the individual

Amazing bro. I’m hoping you’ll eventually get into a more holistic viewpoint of programming + a video on peaking. Nonetheless, this right here is gold.

Very interesting video. On the topic of exertion, from what you're saying, I feel like practicing the technique is emphasized a lot in your approach. From that, I think this is consistent in the stronger people I've seen at least in powerlifting. Failure is often avoided in the training clips I see. From a purely bodybuilding point of view, would you push exertion higher and more often?

This was absolutely a fantastic video Brandon! Fucken love it! I was wondering, have you ever used knee pulls/halting deadlifts before, for speed off the floor?

Could you make a video on adjusting programming towards cutting?

Great video! I will definitely apply this to my training. I do have some questions though. What are knee resisted squat, iso bench, and long lockout deadlift. Are iso bench the same as board bench press? If not, do you recommend the board press? Do you recommend the incline press? What about deadlift stance box squat for deadlift speed off the floor? George Leeman recommends them. Also, what is low pushed deadlift?

Thank you for making this video. So, very high reps set (20-30 reps) for squat doen't do any good in terms of hypertrophy?

Is it bad that i train Romanian deads and normal conventional on the same day twice a week. Ive noticed my glutes and bavk is taxing recently. so is it worth just doing deadlifts without Romanian deads in my training. Any tips to help back and glute pain/ fatigue

Hey Brendan, amazing information like always 👏🏻. I’ve been incorporating more powerlifting in my training and would love to hear from you what do you think about Jim Wendler 5/3/1? Would you recommend it?

Awesome, thank you! Thoughts on deficit deadlifts?
@BrendanTietz6 жыл бұрын
Jennifer Applebaum you’re very welcome! So imo I feel they change he movement pattern too much to have transference to the comp pull. Both for sumo and conventional. Ive heard arguments for helping “strength off the floor” but now you’re changing the ROM so much that the increased knee flexion you get to cue the quads will be so different than the normal pull that it won’t carry over. Plus even if it did I’d find other exercises like low pushed deads, tempos, and basic cueing to be the way to actually get the quads involved to break the floor easier. As for other purposes I find it usually puts conventional pullers in a lot of lumbar flexion unless their anatomical structure is a bit more mobile in the hip capsule so it risks higher fatigue and injury rates. Sumo pullers tend to get really aggravated hips although I have seen some do them successfully without issue but it’s rare. All in all I’d opt for other variants. At best, you should have a really good reason as to why you’re doing them and if you do and if they are actually helping/not fatiguing or injuring you in a bad way then you’re good to go. I don’t program them myself, I use to but saw little benefit

Brendan Tietz Damn I wasted all this time doing deficits.. Lol Thanks for your input. While I personally liked them, they were somewhat taxing. Time to get rid of deficits

Hi Brendan, I'm the girl who keeps asking too many questions lol. Speaking of deadlifts, I was looking at one of the charts that you see all over the place these days about the "perfect" deadlift for any body proportion (you know, like arm length, torso, and legs). If I followed that advice I should be a conventional puller (I'm tall, have long legs, long arms, and a short torso), but lately I've been working more with sumo pulls and I legitimately feel 10x stronger (increased my 1RM by over 20kg). How accurate do you think those charts are? Would you recommend following them as a general rule or do you think there are exeptions?

How know if I’m in the low portion or high portion on how many set should I do ??
@alerosso916 жыл бұрын
Just try it for yourself. Start on the lower end and gradually increase volume until you find your sweet spot in which you can make the most progress while still being able to properly recover from it. If overreaching too early, possibly taper volume down a bit. If you can go on forever, maybe add a couple of sets.
