Keep up with the videos, man, you can't imagine how much you're helping/informing me with these helpful videos. I learned enormous amounts of info as a beginner lifter from you.

I also repped out a set of close grip guillotine presses where every rep looked consistently fast, and the last rep was a slow grind. It's a good thing to fatigue so fast that you need so few sets. I have the feeling that any close grip press with long arms becomes exponentially harder over a few reps as a default trend. I'd need to go comically light to consistently get sets over 10 on any press really.

Agreed, my 10RM on bench is like 75% 1RM. Bar speed also tends to be brisk when close to failure. Ability for rep work for bench is really 🫠

Can confirm. Huge weight drop off between singles and anything more than one rep.

My biggest pet peeve is when people tell me how I should bench wider. You don't know how short my arms are.

I have monkey arms and do better with closer grip. My shoulders don't feel as raw that way.

Hey Brendan, first of all, really appreciate your content and your philosophies around training. 37yo ex athlete here looking for a coach to help with yearly programming and strength training as a lifestyle. High Intermediate/low advanced lifter whos stalled after hitting some good PRs this year. Would love to have a conversation with you and have paid for coaching before 😃

Anyone thinking of one-to-one with Brendan, do it NOW. I started and wish I did it 3years ago when I initially enquired. Spoiler: I wasted 3years of gains. 😂👌👌
