My house has 3 machines in it. I have my mom’s Bernina. She passed away in 1988 - I keep it in the carrier. So I “have it” but don’t really use it. My oldest sister used it (when her machine died) to finish the flower girl dress her grand daughter wore in my wedding 11years ago. Was special to have that “contribution” from my mom on that important day! My machine is a Brother - when I get time to sew (not as often as I would like). It is probably 5 years old. & I have a sit down/mid arm, long arm (Handi Quilter Sweet 16) that I bid on last year - someone in my Guild was selling & I won the bid. I am a very beginner & have only had time to practice on it a handful of times.

G'day Rebecca. Its hard to find time to sew when you have a full time job, family etc. I love hearing about the different machines that you have. It was special that your sister was able to use your mum's machine for the flower girl dress. My sister has my mum's sewing machine and uses it when she sews. Keep practicing with the mid arm. I hear it gets easier the more you do it.

I have one sewing machine, a 23 yr old Brother from Walmart. Would love an embroidery machine, but way out of my budget.
