I personally wouldn't mind foundations coming in smaller amounts, if they didn't cost that much. It takes me a while to go through foundation because I use a light hand, and don't wear it every day. With semi-solid waxy products like that lip colour or whatever you could put it in the fridge for a while so it's more solid and may actually pop out as a whole disc -- that way there's less residue stuck in the grid affecting the second weigh. I know it's less fun then, but it's an option for some things.

"Kinky serial killer" sums up the squick perfectly. It probably doesn't help that I just watched American Psycho the other day. I've always thought Orgasm is fine, because it's apt, orgasmic flush is what they're going for. Deepthroat has always creeped me out a bit though, cos are they suggesting the same thing? The only product names that have truly squicked me out before now though are Kat von D underage red and all the lolitas. I know, I know, underage red has an explanation, but not everyone's going to look at a lipstick name knowing the back story. It has gross connotations, esp when paired with Lolita in the same range, and I think she did that on purpose.

The creator of Flesh Beauty was interviewed on a recent episode of the Fat Mascara podcast, and she said in the podcast that they used a different formulation for the deeper shades than the fair shades of the firm flesh thick stick because of the difficulties of creating shades that are deep without them looking grey.

40 shades and that's the darkest they made? considering it looks even lighter when applied than it does in the packaging (cause there's not much pigment like you guys said) they should have expanded further and gone darker. seems like 40 shades is the eye-catch for companies these days but "forty shades!" means nothing when you don't cover a full range from lightest to darkest.

Ilasja if you put a white coffee filters on a dark peice of paper you'll see the paper through it, the inverse is also true. The less opacity a product has the more it'll matter what the color under it is.

Im so disappointed in the size of these products...they're all so small AND half empty. This packaging is the exact same (so they couldn't even do nice custom packaging) as the milk lip and cheek minis...which are free...among countless other mini size products. The price is the same as a high end foundation with 6x the product!

i would love to see you guys do a makeup breakup for some colourpop products, like their concealers and lipglosses. i’ve noticed that their liquid products that come in tubes like their concealer and lipglosses are usually only 2/3 to 3/4 full, and i’m curious if they just put them in really big containers and if they’re actually giving you the right amount product!
