You could probably reuse them for making a ton at a time, but I wouldn’t reuse them after you finish a cooking session. They are moist in probably in a warm kitchen, prime time bacterial growth right there. You could steam them before use but I’d just be safe and not risk it

If you are doing multiple a day itd probably be fine but doing it multiple days may not be safe for consumption from a fiod safety aspect. Im all for reuseing stuff but it may be better to get some that are meant for being reused and are washable.

@surewhatever8843 My main concern is use on more than just 1 day. I wouldn't suggest using the same parchment paper for a week as it's still food being put on it and it'll eventually attract something. There may be a better option in terms of silicon or maybe even a washable fabric. The main problem I have is that parchment paper isn't cleanable and there's no telling what may be living on it after a couple of uses. There has to be better alternatives than reusing an unwashable item or even an item that could be sterilized with boiling water.

There are vegetable dumplings and I would recommend following a recipe and getting Halal ingredients. I make a big batch and freeze on a tray. Then store in a bag in the freezer. It’s really fun to sit down as a group and fold them up.👍

You can make dumplings out of anything. I’m reasonably certain these are soup dumplings, which are often pork, but you can make them out of anything. All you need is some sort of meat high in collagen, or some agar agar if you’re going vegetarian. There are a lot of recipes available, if you’re interested in cooking them yourself. There may even be a halal restaurant near you that may sell dim sum.

@@CarsOrCars the skin isn’t made of gelatin, if it were, it would melt. The skin is made of flour, water, and maybe salt. The filling has gelatin in it usually, but gelatin can often be substituted with agar agar, which is made from seaweed. On top of this, you can stew chicken bones to extract the collagen from it to have the same effect, which I believe would also be halal. Feet and wings would be good pieces to use, but I don’t know if both or either are halal or haram.
