On the matter of the cat lady, none of the cats there look malnourished or otherwise neglected and Numbah 4 doesn’t seem to be overwhelmed by any sort of smell within her house, so it’s probably well kept in terms of hygiene(unless you believe Wally just smells so awful he wouldn’t be able to tell). Also considering the fact that cats can be incredibly fickle, their devotion to the point of being able to become a giant cat just to help their owner probably speaks volumes about how much they love her.

Ngl I always figured the fourth flavor was cheese. Makes sense. Cheese unlike mango wouldn’t spoil as easily, and it’s the kind of food that gets even better with age. I can easily imagine this being a rare strain of cheese that monks simply integrated into their ice cream.

What I love about Uno's Dad's face reveal is that it works extremely well to humanize the character in that moment. He goes from faceless authority figure to a person in an instant

It seems like the parents "earn" the right to have their faces shown once they have a humanizing moment. Between this and an episode with Wally's dad anyway. I don't remember if it's consistent with the others.

Hoagie's mom is faceless when she appears in the common cold episode, but when we next see her, she stops being faceless. Kuki's parents are also always visible, so we have to assume 2 and 3 are just closer to their families.

@@PTp1ranhaUno's Dad was the first Parent we saw, because he had the first humanizing episode. Hoagie's Mom became humanized when she was worried to set up a good dinner for her boss, just like he worries about the higher KND operatives when they show up. Kooky always had her Parents visible, because her Parents are the most expressive she let her enjoy life, being most apparent that she's friends with 2 of her Mom's employees and the Dad being open about wishing he could do more for his daughters. Wallaby had his Pops show face the worry and fear of losing became as evident as when 4 gets upset. I don't think we ever saw Abigail's Dad's face throughout the show. I could be wrong.

That movie drops so much lore, it's crazy. We learn more of the history of the KND, the real name of Father, and who Nigel's father really is. It adds more to the history given in Archive and even retcons portions of an arguably distorted history. I would even argue that the account in Archive is purposeful deceit from the KND's upper echelon itself, in particular from Numbuhs Infinity and 2×4. It's interesting to note that the Delightful Children are not the first instance of such a group. There was one in the Sixth Age, as shown in Caked Five. But on the Delightful Children, them being brainwashed operatives from a lost Sector is interesting. This shows Benedict Uno's twisted view of parenthood in full. He was the obedient son, the loyal son and he made obedient children. His father, Grandfather, forced obedience through fear, and it was fear that kept him in line. The cruel punch line is that Monty is Grandfather's favorite son, despite his rebellion. In a way, he probably respected that disobedience. That fire. Benedict, on the other hand, is a weak willed coward who refused to fight back even when he had comparable power to Grandfather, while Monty held off Grandfather's magic with nothing more than his willpower. That's the strength he admires. He despises Benedict for being incapable of defeating the KND, while he likely toppled the Sixth Age and nearly ended the 7th. I give the movie a 5/5.

@@TrevorJuve That's the trick. The Ancient monks would not make the password an easy guess for the greedy, so they made it a trick question as well as a Pun. I mean, as was shown in the episode, the Delightful Children and the Ice Cream Men couldn't figure it out as they weren't able to think outside the Box. They focused on the word _FLAVOR_ and not the Entire scripture that held the key... And the thing about Riddles, is that the clue to the answer _Isn't_ at the start of the riddle... ...The Clue is actually at the end of the Riddle. In fact, we see that in FIM's Discord episode. Discord's Riddle actually had the answer staring Twilight Sparkle in the face the whole time, that is, "You will find [The Elements] in the place where it all began"... And where did her friendship with the Main Six (and thus, the awakening of the Elements) all began? In _Ponyville._ It did not began in _the Maze_ of _Canterlot_ like she had thought. Discord didn't lie in that regard. Twilight simply didn't ponder on the whole Riddle, which is something you are _supposed_ to do in a riddle. This is how Numbah 5 was able to open the Door while the Ice Cream Men failed. The Ice Cream Men only saw "Flavor" and ran through all the _Flavors_ of Ice Cream... Including flavors that wouldn't have _existed_ at the time of the Fourth Flavor being sealed away. "Sundaes" are not only a Pun on "Flavor of the _DAY",_ but when you actually think about it, a _Sundae_ is usually made with three flavors: Strawberry, Vanilla, and Chocolate, all united in _Harmony._

That's true to a lot of kids that just happened to be on this show. I get that this show needs *civilians* but who are we kidding? Most kids would probably say yes to being in the KND. There's a *lot* of kids that would get one-of appearances and I'd make entire headcanons about them joining in. KND really could have gone on for as many seasons as possible, I think the potential for doing stuff would always be there, because kids will always exist and it would be endlessly relatable. Too bad CN doesn't do that with anything that isn't Teen Titans Go. Heck, they could have done anthologies where they swapped operatives every few seasons and it still would be cool.

Because the Four Flavors were presented as being "Ancient", along with the Fourth Flavor's general color, when I was a kid I always imagined the Fourth Flavor was Honey (maybe Honey made from some extinct or super-rare flower to give it a unique flavor profile). I admit to being a history nut even when I was young. Actually if that theory is true, it would handily explain why the Fourth Flavor would be so heavily guarded with fear of it being completely wiped out: it would be extremely difficult to make more.

Also, even though honey seems like it'd be a no-brainer to use as a flavor of a sweet, in the United States at least it's a very uncommon to find honey flavor commercial ice cream for some reason (difficulty to mix and get the texture right, maybe?) In regards to Spankula, This is a nod to the way our boomer parents and grandparents grew up. I’ve heard stories from many of them how teachers, police, friends’ parents, their own parents, and other adults would spank other peoples’ children without parental consent. Often times over the most trivial things, like shouting to get someones attention, or closing a door too hard. Many times the parents were ok with it as they assumed their child did something wrong, but there began to be many cases of abuse where children weren’t actually doing anything wrong. Unfortunately, there were people who did get a kick out of spanking children. It wasn’t until the laws changed in the 90s and 2000s that things got better and people started getting jail time. Nowadays you touch another person’s kid, you can expect a beat down, an arrest, and prison time.

That would be fine if it wasn't for some people who are so anti child disciplining that they end up seeing any physical disciplining as abuse and will treat it as such, and I'm not just talking about parents here, but third parties. Then there are the absolute crazy people who will yell at you not to stop their children from breaking stuff or not use stern language or loud voices with their children because their children are some sort of perfect beings. Ironically by not disciplining their child at all it becomes child abuse.

The adults definitely reflect a couple generations ago (more like a generation ago when this came out) where it felt just a little older than the average parent at the time, like mr boss is a very old school boss with a cigar, how Spankulot went about business seemed to reflect that to, that’s a good point. I have some family that works for child protection foundations like that and they talk about the same thing, they put it in a way like if the kid doesn’t know any better, why wouldn’t you talk to them and make them understand what was wrong, etc.

The fourth flavor is a challenge given the clues we have all kinda of contradicting each other in some way. Based on color when it is lit, I would say butter bicon, which would be fitting, it has a more mature taste and is not a super common flavor so the mystery works a bit. When it is not lit, some kind of berry would fit, it also works well with tasting similar to that blurpleberry, and if it is a berry that is rare, that would explain the mystery. However, the idea that it is sorbet of some kind, probably orange, works with the color when it is lit, it is a common flavor that is in many icecream selections, and also has a bit of an old timey vibe that would fit, though it is a tad too obvious to be honest. I say we tie into Wonka and make it Snozzberry! Also, the quote about not needing anything to be added to good icecream, I use that all the time for whatever food is at hand. "Good food needs no additions!"

One thing that I always think about is the dynamic between Cree and Numbuh 5. The reason is that it’s one of the examples show casing the rivalry between the teen ninjas and the KND. Let me explain. Based on the few flashbacks we get. It seems that Numbuh 5 and Cree was very close during the old sector V years. But of course Cree betrays the KND and become father appearance because of the fear of being decommissioned. Which always makes me wonder. What would their sister dynamic be like without the whole KND thing. Would they still be close or would they drift apart as they age. Another thing to note is that I wish we gotten more examples of this. Like a younger sibling having to go through the experience of having their older sibling being decommissioned and possibly joining the teen ninjas. And if GKND, ever happened. I wonder if we’ll see more of Cree and Numbuh 5 dynamic. Like I don’t went Cree to be fully redeem or nothing, but seeing more of her pov would be nice. Espically if she has her own group with Chad and a few other ninjas that mirrors sector V (both past and present).

Also noteworthy is that Abigail says most of what she knows about being a KND agent she learned from Cree. It's interesting that the rogue agent angle is the most hostility there is between them. Abby respects Cree, and to some extent still looks up to her... but is happy to fight her. Thing is.. Abby is terrified because she has this idea that one day.... she'll STOP fighting Cree. In the Count Spankula episode you failed to mention that the Count was hired to Spank a child but ended up at the wrong house and was genuinely upset that he spanked an innocent child and was even accepting of his punishment. This shows that Spankula isnt a hypocrite and does believe that wrongdoing deserves punishment, even his own. There is also the bit at the end where Numbah 3 is blabbing that they tricked him into going to the judges house and then says "just like we sent him to that kid Carlos' house" which informs us that the KND were the ones who hired him at the start of the episode and knowingly sent him to an innocent child's house. This means that the KND had innocent child get spanked with the intention of having Spankula thrown in prison. Considering that the police threw him in jail for spanking an innocent child, this tells us that the majority of adults in KND universe dont like a Spanking vigilante going around Spanking children and consider it a crime, and since they werent after him before that means he wasnt breaking any laws previously. We can make moral arguments about Spanking, but thats us forcing our world views on a cartoon, the fact is the Count was an innocent man as per the laws of the KND universe and the KND had him wrongly convicted. That was straight up villainous action by the KND, and they also went against their mission statement to "Protect children from adult tyranny" by sacrificing a child to adult tyranny and being more hypocritical than the Count. It goes to show that the KND are no different than many of the adults they fight against, they are just younger and more innocent in a childlike naive way. They are fighting to make the world a better place for children just like many adults want to make the world a better place for adults. The KND even have their own prisons where they send criminals, locking them up without trial, even locking up teenagers with no input from the teens parents. Thats actually really messed up. Neither the KND nor the adult villains they battle are trying to make the world a better place for everyone. The adults who are taking part in all this villainous behavior are just KIds that didnt grow up and are still running around in silly costumes, giving themselves silly Codenames, and doing whatever they want regardless of what the laws are.

Bill Cosby's character has an outsized impact on African-American pop culture since he and the show it is made for feature African-Americans as respectable equals of American society. 4:15 I mean if you want to get technical as they say in the episode they banned ALL SODA drinking to the age of 13 but root beer was the specific focus of the episode. Which is funny if you really think about it as the main ingredient that makes kids hyperactive in soda is the caffeine and many root beers are caffeine free thus being probably one of the safer options. Basically what I am saying anyone saying that prohibition banned all alcohol so it wasn't the same... it was, in fact, the same

Excellent job as always! Always good to reminisce about an exquisite show. Some random thoughts: Mr. Fizz/the principal from "Class of 3000" are intentionally impressions of Ricardo Montalban. He's had a number of notable film roles, perhaps most famously Khan from the original "Star Trek". Why these characters specifically? Eh, the voice is distinct and funny, don't think there's anything to it beyond that. In fairness to Lizzie, Numbuh One's shoes are repeatedly shown to contain rockets, and that's pretty cool. Having a photo of them makes a lot more sense in that regard. It continues to bring me laughter that KND, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and Ed, Edd, and Eddy all canonically take place in the same universe. And that Numbuh Three has canonically served as the Grim Reaper for a time. Man, that last episode! I know that a changing status quo/villain victory is a pretty standard feature of shows nowadays, but when this aired? Rarely seen. Patt of what made shows like this and Xiaolin Showdown something special.

I wasn’t really familiar with Ricardo Montalban but I did read the impression is specifically of him so I plan to do more research on that for the class of 3000 video, it’s kinda interesting the principal there was a carryover of mr fizz, which was an impersonation of Ricardo

If I were to take a few guesses on the fourth flavor: Butter-pecan might be the answer, considering the color, and I don't see it being something a kid might normally try. Perhaps a mix of vanilla and caramel, A basic, but well executed flavor combo. Blurpleberry sounds like a sugary, artificial berry flavor like 'blue raspberry' or 'pink lemonade', so maybe that's what the fourth flavor is? Just a really sweet, more basic than vanilla ice cream? A wild suggestion however might be maple. I know the color is a bit on the lighter side, but maple flavor is still one of the best in my opinion, so that might be it.
@donaldpaccerelli198
@donaldpaccerelli198 14 күн бұрын
There is also the possibility that it could have been an ice cream made with alcohol. Possibly mead, beer, or whiskey any amber to gold color booze, really. This would explain why no kid thinks it exists. What adult is going to let a kid eat something with alcohol in it? And the whole blurpleberry bit would lean to it being mead or an amber colored wine give both use berries in their creation.

That's a good point! And speaking of things that kids don't normally drink, Numbuh 5 did mention when she tasted coffee that she never realized it tasted so good. So maybe perhaps it's a coffee flavor that looks gold because of the lighting?

@@Vortecha Interesting idea. Actually, one thing I learned about making ice cream... is... just mixing flavor into it usually won't give it much color. store brands are FULL of food dye, just to make them look "right". Simply using the "wrong" color of dye changes it a lot.
