Nice job Andy. I got in the house tonight and my 7 year old little guy was waiting to see if you posted a video. Out of all the crap he's exposed to, at the end of the day he'd rather watch you level off the silo... so we're in good shape here lol. I gotta work on a Jamesway unloader tomorrow actually. @deernutOOАй бұрын
Apparently you can't turn on the unloader to use the auger of the unloader to level off the corn. Am sure I could figure out the reason why if I thought about it a bit more, and you already have the best way figured out over many years of doing this chore. Nice to have the corn combining done and a solid combine operator to handle that job. Awesome. Can't wait to see the 12 row, that'll take up some roadway, for sure. 😁😁

943 tons Andy. You had less than 200 acres to harvest. I saw your answer and I was rather high. A yield of 4 tons to the acre was a farmers dream back in the '60's. The 20 yo Harvester is a model from an era when "Made in the USA" still meant something and inferior Chinese parts were unknown. One can only wish that 6th Jan 2025 will mark the start of a return to those times.

Working with your children is so rewarding. Most people, once the kids are 18 its weekends and holidays. (Maybe younger). Parents that consider a "good relationship" might see kids evenings and weekends. You are doing it right. Expanding the business and giving them jobs. If all goes bad they can go drive for Gypsum Express!

How long do you usually wait to start feeding from the silo? What do you use in the ration before you start the silo? I never dealt with HMSC, and the people I know that do used sealed storage, Harvestores or bags. Nobody uses Harvestores around me anymore. Probably a good reason, too.🤔 Great video, and I can almost feel the dust here!👍👍
