I think it's a better idea to have a backup than a new one. You can keep whatever process moving. Neighbor used to set up one combine for Corn, the other just like it for Beans. Eventually got a 3rd they would switch back and forth to double the acres harvested as needed. He could stay on Corn while dealing with early Beans. He was the King of 7720s. Choppers are a little different story.

Andy is spending a lot of money expanding his milking and free stall barns and it makes tons of sense to keep the older chopper running as it's plenty big enough for his farm, I mean to say he waits for trucks some of the time with the current chopper. Smart farmers usually last and last because of conservative decision making throughout the farming years.

Andy you have the same luck with skid steers as we do. We have 7 rubber tracked deers really didn’t have to much trouble with the 329’s but by god the 331 and 333’s have been nothing but trouble we can’t keep torque drive motors in them and the bucket pins hell I’ve got at least 5 kits on hand at all times for them. They want us to try a 335 out they say they completely redid them so hopefully it’s true

Which child is going to run the other chopper?Sarah or Andrew? Oh the fussing that is possibly coming?! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻‼️ Edit: I post the question before you said you only need one chopper Andy. My question is with two chopper’s running you can finish the job twice as fast. I see your insight on a back up chopper but with two machines running the farm can get more done. Just a fact… I will not pretend to know what is best for you or your farm. Not my business! I remember when you got the chopper new… I am just a fellow follower of your channel kinda joking about the please Daddy! I want to run the other chopper! Question that may or may not ever happen… I just enjoy watching the content of this channel! Hello from North Carolina 👋!

Everyone knows how to spend other people's money. Waaay to many of them are in the Government. I don't live in Andy's shoes, so I don't have a single suggestion for him. I may have to ton of questions, because I am curious and aware that what they are doing is working for them. A new chopper is $1mil+. A used one costs what it's worth, if it needs a lot of work, it's not always a bargain. It CAN be worth it, but it can be a $ pit in a hot minute. Enjoy his videos, but don't bother telling him what he needs to do. He already knows.
