@@GrantMcWilliams I can understand that, and the human body can be accustomed to certain temperatures. However, there comes a point where your home reaches a temperature that causes the body to sweat when doing simple activities like vacuuming (or just lying down) and no one should ever have to be sweating in their own home. If my house were over 72F (or 22.3C), I'd be sweating with simple activities, personally. Are you saying that with a 26c indoor temp, that doesn't occur with you? I'd be dying. Outdoors, 26c wouldn't be too bad, assuming there's a light breeze.

They literally have no idea that outdoor temparature is one of the main factor that effect power consumption of AC. Very detailed explanation overall. I think instead of buying the meco power consumption meter you can use smart plug like Wipro which costs only 700 rupees.
@TechGuyCharlie2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, and outside temperature is literally the most important thing, even more so when it comes to Inverter ACs because these units take into account the outside temp and decide at how much power the compressor runs at. 😊
@AzlanIkram Жыл бұрын
its nice to see someone checking it with a real power meter instead on making calculation on paper. I know ACs are closed loop systems and therefore complicated to calculate power for but this gives a ballpark figure to people who don't know anything about it.

Yup! Its more or less a ballpark figure, the power consumption varies depending on outside temperature, size of the room and also on how well the AC is being maintained.

Incidentally my 1.5 ton AC in my Chennai home is a non inverter AC and it consumes around 14 units during its night running of around 11 hours... Except for my own cleaning of the outdoor unit with water jet and cleaning of the dust filters in the indoor unit I've not so far encountered any problems... Day time running is very very rare... Night time running from mid March to mid July... Five months and for those months I get a bill of around 4,000 bimonthly... after seeing your clip I've decided to go in for an inverter AC as soon as my AC conks out! This is a great content. Whenever I ask the air conditioner stores, usually they would tell me that if you are using the air conditioner for more than 4-5 hours (some even say 7-8 hours) continously, then you should only consider inverter otherwise it is not worth the money. From your video, it takes less than an hour for the room temp to reach the set temp before the compressor starts to slow down. This is obviously affected by different factors but i am coming from Malaysia where the average outside temperature is about 32-34C so I can imagine it is faster to reach the set temperature. Inverter is definitely the future. Not only because of the electricity savings but it also helps to reduce the carbon footprint.
@TechGuyCharlie2 жыл бұрын
When the outside temperature is about 32-34 then it takes less than 10 minutes to cool the room down to 24, after that the AC will run at low power to just maintain the room temperature, totally worth getting an inverter unit. Same story here, the shop keepers always push for non-inverter units mainly due to their higher profit margins, however due to stricter energy saving norms, non-inverter ACs have almost completely disappeared from our market. Inverter units are definitely superior, not only when it comes to energy savings, but also they make less noise and provide consistent cooling, since the compressor keeps running continuously at lower power levels.

I'd actually love to, but Its impossible to compare the both, as they are installed in different rooms with varying heat load and sun facing walls, there is also a significant difference in the size of the room. So, unless both of them are installed in the same room its not a good idea to compare the usage. Anyway, you aren't wrong about the usage, both will end up using roughly the same amount of power, what inverter AC gives you is comfort, as there isn't any temperature or humidity variation.

Thank you and I would say it depends on a lot of factors, the one in this video is a 2hp unit and the max it consumes is 2500watts, and that is on an extremely hot day, 45*C but if the temperature is below 35 the max power consumption never goes above 2000watts, that too only for a few minutes, but you should be good with a 3000watt generator. By the way, some Inverter ACs have a 'Generator' function that limits the max power. On LG you can use energy control to do the same thing.

look up the model number's datasheet/user manual / ask the manufacturer

Thx man you explain it all, just i wish if you did compare between normal and inverter ac consumption in 6 hours. Good job bro

Very nice review and explanation, easy to understand. Can the kwatt result apply to 1hp inverter unit with 4 stars too?

@Tech Guy Charlie.. What is the best option to power saving? Should i put 27c and fan speed mid
@arunkurian93672 жыл бұрын
Lol i put it on 22 with low fan speed, i think current is more directly linked to fan speed

how much it cost consumption per hour?

have a same ac bro. do you used energy control for 24hrs test?
@TechGuyCharlie4 жыл бұрын
Nope! I did the test without energy control because other brand AC's don't have this feature, so the test would not have been fair.

My room size is 10X12. What should I purchase 1 ton or 1.5 Dual inverter ac?
@ericpham40114 жыл бұрын
the invertee technology is very powerful concept can be used in weather, electrity, sound etc.. all it main purpuse is either shift the wave to find 180 shift of critical frquency to neutralized and in electritcity because everything is ground and so if you groubd correctly all you need is the inbound signal not the current and shift it then use it and reflect back neutral and so the metter see no current and your system had same ground and shifted signal so it literrally using electeiciry without the power drain

I have lg dual inverter 1.5 3 star 3.68 ser AC..i normally run at 26-28 for 8 hour but as the temperature is going up MY AC consumption UNit is also going up and also my Outdoor unit is at a place where already 3 more AC are there below it. And even keeping at 23-28 its consuming like 1 -1.5 unit / hour. Can you please help
