I can see that Shogo really does read all his comments and responds to questions, that's really nice of him! For me I've been in the same relationship since high school and I'm 23 now, so I've only ever been with one woman. I guess this is what guys would look for more as they get older, a relationship. However there's always this part of me that wonders what it would be like if I were to have dated many different girls instead through my early twenties, and whether that experience would have made me a better person. Guess I'll never know. Anyway, I know your last upload was two years ago man, but I've subscribed just in case you start making videos again!

I think his question wasn't so much pointed to the numbers game but was perhaps wandering about whether you have had an abundance of experience, in a sense if you have had as much (dept not just quantity) experiences as you have wanted in life, if you have managed to experience fulfillment exactly as you wanted, whether that means being with a small or large number of women. So my question would be, have you managed to have exactly the kind of experiences that you really wanted with women, and if working on having those was easy or really hard? (for me to think of achieving my desires with women still seems like a very hard thing, its not like i see it as an achievement, i know its a process, but still...) + thanks for your great videos, enjoy

I feel very grateful that I experience much fulfillment in my own life, and at the same time I feel very strongly that fulfillment has nothing to do with experiencing things "exactly as you wanted." I don't think we will ever have things exactly the way we want, whether it's in our relationships, our bank accounts, our physical appearance, and I'm sure a host of other areas in life. I don't think nature is intended to give us "exactly what we want"--why else do we go through the process of living our lives? And whether the process for each of us as individuals is easy or really hard, I suppose we all have different paths in life: some of us are talented in one area, others more talented in another; some of us simply have more talents overall than others. For me personally, one question that I think is relevant at this point in my life (it may be different or similar for you) is not whether my path is easy or hard, but whether I am embracing all that I am and moving forward with what I have, or whether I am avoiding my own challenges in life by trying to take the "easy" way out of things. Very often for me, my actions tend to fall to the second option. Certain things will come more easily to us than others, and that may just be the luck of the draw. I think the more powerful question is, "Where am I avoiding difficulty and always seeking the easy way out, thereby robbing myself of so much of the richness and the beauty that life has to offer?"

Excellent response Shogo. I used to count in the past and growing up, it's exactly something I'm going through. I'm sure that tigthly correlates to watching porn and using women as a sexual object. Quitting porn a while and quitting seeing women as a sex object has changed me for good. Please talk more on this topics. I want to have good social life and money can be an issue for me. How do you find your purpose in life like what you have to do? Not satisfied with what I have now.

Shogo, what are your thoughts on monogamy? I know that is a very open question, I just wonder: is there any real benefit to committing to just one woman as opposed to expressing your sexuality freely with many attractive woman? Would you yourself be happy to be monogamous, is it simply incompatible with your nature of travelling so much? I feel like I shouldn't need to ask about polygamy vs monogamy after reading a certain chapter in Way of The Superior Man haha ('you will often want more than one woman'), but if you could give your thoughts that'd be great.

Stephen Hughes I have never been in a polygamous relationship (though I have friends and colleagues who are), so I can't really comment on what that is like. I enjoy being monogamous with one partner, though I have cheated in the past and learned many hard lessons from cheating. I have a history of dating and carrying on casual romantic encounters with multiple people at the same time, and to me that doesn't get anywhere near the richness and reward I find that comes out of a true (or 'traditional") relationship with one person. The "benefit" of monogamy as I see it comes not from "committing to just one woman", but from exploring the depths of the bond that arises when you are fully present in a single relationship that is co-created with one woman. These days, even if I am just casually dating, I like to be with only one woman and I do not enjoy seeing multiple people at a time. Otherwise I feel that I am taking it simply as a distraction. Very interesting reply, thank you. I seem to think that being polygamous is, in a way, avoiding being in a committed relationship so you are free to have 'casual encounters' with other woman. Not sure if my definition is correct, but its great to hear such a positive view on monogamy. I guess, because I have only been with one girl that I sometimes feel I am missing out on that freedom, though I do love my partner. Haha thanks, I cant remember anyone commenting on it before. Btw, do you think it would be beneficial to practice pick up on other girls simply for the benefits it has on confidence and social interaction, so long as I have no intention to take it any further than that?

I can only speak for myself here and what I want for my own life, but my response is absolutely not. Firstly, I don't think it's beneficial to "practice" or "do" pick-up in any way. Secondly, when I relate to and connect with others, I want above all to do so sincerely, and do so with integrity. This is how I want others to treat me, so why would I treat them any differently? I do not express interest in a woman whom I am not genuinely interested in. I will not ask for a woman's phone number who I have no intention of calling the next day.

I've slept with a grand total of 0 women. I'm a normal 20 year old guy who has no trouble talking with women. I have gone out with a few girls and I have many interests of my own (working out, basketball, reading, building stuff with legos :D). I agree, sexual experiances are wonderful (physical connections with the other person) however in this highly sexualized society dudes will always tally up, and I wish it wasn't so because this will continue to be a trend. The average dude looks at this from a "competition" stand point thus resulting in him objectifying women regardless of their race, creed, physical stature etc and that is not fair for him (because he is playing himself) and for her because she is no longer looked at as a human being. I cannot believe I used to feel discouraged when my buddies would tell me about their sexual experiances with different girls. This results in some women not allowing themselves to open up to men because at the end of the day they are afraid that he will use them (core reason mixed with other stuff of why females in our society jump on the "I don't need a man" or "All men are assholes" bandwagon)
