Same but there’s no point to play it anymore because the only amazing elements added to the game became mainstream elements to the overall franchise and without those things like kart customisation, gliding and underwater racing it doesn’t have a core identity of its own that separates it from other mario karts which is kinda indicative of my problem with the game. You can just play 8 or 8 deluxe. The features are all there, there’s a bigger roster, more tracks and better ones at that, better graphics and better battle mode. There’s nothing unique about mario kart 7 anymore which is sad

Well, the POW Block and Thundercloud aren’t in 8 deluxe, but that’s for the better. And the Mega Mushroom is actually GOOD in Tour. If there’s no reason to return to 7, why is there a reason to return to Wii?

How Mario Kart 7 is Mind Blowing to me: 1. The music in this game is just too good! Especially in Rainbow Road, when I first heard the transitions in certain portions of the race, I actually started crying. It was like it was made by angels! 2. I love how Rosalina’s voice echoes. If I’m being real, I never stopped playing as her because of it. 3. Neo Bowser City is esthetically amazing to me. 4. Is it just me or is battle mode really fun? 5. You can have up to 8 people playing in multiplayer! Name one other Mario Kart game that does that. 6. Yoshi. I’m sorry, but he’s just too cute for his own good. 7. I like how DK Jungle uses one of the main melodies for Donkey Kong Country. Very clever! 8. I think it’s amusing that Wiggler gets mad after he gets hit by an item. Sure he’s the first and probably only one to have a post-reaction to getting hit, but I just think it’s interesting.

In this game & MKDS, I absolutely love how you can see on the bottom of the screen which items the players are holding so that you know exactly when you’re gonna get a shock or squirted by a Blooper. MK Wii didn’t have that feature.

The tanuki suit is probably one of the worst item of all time in mario kart : It's useful only if you're near other characters but you get it more often when you're first; while using it, you can't hold another item (which means you can collect other item boxes if you get this item), and finally it's impossible to "throw it away" if you don't want it (like a banana or a shell), you're forced to use it and to keep it for a certain period of time (and once this period of time is done, you're totally defenceless because you can't hold another item). The only existance of this item makes me not wanting to play this game, even thought I think it's good...

This game has EASILY the best retro course selection in the entire series! It brought back multiple fan favorites from every previous entry with the only exception being Mario Kart: Super Circuit. Also, they brought back the 4 absolute best possible Wii tracks to return!

Here's some more you didn't mention: You don't need to beat insane goals to unlock more characters and karts. Just beat every cup in 150cc to unlock all the characters and mirror mode, and keep collecting coins to unlock random parts for your vehicle. This is the first Mario Kart to have a retro Rainbow Road track, besides Super Circuit of course. Mario Circuit is a great throwback to Royal Raceway and Mario Raceway from Mario Kart 64. It's full of beautiful spring blossom trees and you can drive inside of Peach's castle for the first time ever! Wario's Galleon is a nice throwback to Wario Land: Shake It, set in a stormy underwater track where you drive through sunken pirate ships.
