Genuinely delighted with Mount because it's a player the manager has wanted for a long time so knows his qualities and Mount leaving his boyhood club for United must have loved everything he heard from ETH. Onana and ETH know each other very well also. Those two + a striker are priority. Then hopefully we can move on some deadwood and start adding in positions that aren't life and death for the team.

Mount is going to bring out the full potential of Antony. People saying antony flopped are not familiar with his game. Because he plays isolated most of the time with only the LB as passing option he cant tap into his full potential. With mount there they can create triangles on the left flank. Which will elevate Antonys game

I look at Dave’s videos and the data + analysis and you can understand a lot of Ten Hag’s decisions. Ten Hag is big on stats and data, he has mentioned it plenty of times last season. I love the signing, I really do! Hopefully he does well.

I think Mounts work rate and positional play will upgrade united massively. I think this is the way ETH would want to play but he didn't have the personnel last season. Now we do I expect much more balance and better pressing and transitions.

What is not mentioned is that tactics aside, Mount in the only player, apart from Casemiro, who has won a UCL title so he brings a winning mentality and UCL experience into that team as will Onana with his brilliant showing in the UCL Final.

Mount is a bloody good signing. There's a reason why Ten Hag pushed so hard for him as Mount has all the attributes needed for Ten Hag to play with two advanced number 8s like he did at Ajax. He's apt more defensively solid than Eriksen is & is far better on the ball than Fred & McTominay. If United can get Onana, Hojlund & Amrabat signed up aswell then imo we'd of had a very good window considering the shit we're in

Incredible signing. Directly weakens a rival, arguably one of their best players in recent years and fits our system perfectly. I think he plays as the central attacking midfielder with Bruno playing deeper on the left of the pivot with Casemiro on the right. The team can flow into the 4-1 attacking shape with more ease with Casemiro staying on his preferred side in the defensive shape. Bruno has shown he can play really effectively deep when Sabitzer played there. Will be a fun season of football that's all that matters

Even if we look back to our last season, during the end of the season: Erikson leg was not up to the mark; kind of fading away; Now we need a decent ball playing Gk and a Striker (Better than WeGhost on finishing ). I want to see Japanese GK Suzuki (a ball playing GK has few problem with holding the ball but very cheap and just 20 years old ) Could be a great addition for the future;

2:25 The reason for this is not because many players move to the left, but because Ten Hag's system of play involves overloading the left side of the pitch to create isolation on the right, as was the case in Ajax last season. And Mount has only spent the 21/22 season on the right. The rest of the time he was on the left.

The issue, which has been there since the Ole days, is United exclusively play down the left for massive periods of the game. I'm not even sure they are trying to overload. I think the team's midfielders all like to drift to the left and it leaves the RW and the RB isolated and out the game. Its not like Anthony is a 1v1 merchant who is going to beat his man either. If you want to isolate anyone it would be Rashford/Garnacho.

Solid start for the midfield this summer and I know the striker is a priority, but in terms of midfield Ideally we could get rid of McFred and Donny (bare min 60 million for the 3 total) and sign Andre Trindade or Alan Varela as a Casemiro and Alex Scott as a Bruno/Mount rotation/understudy for a net profit and likey considerably reduce the wage bill. Think the midfield would be in much better place right away in terms of depth as these players fit the type of players eth needs to play his brand of football better and these guys fit the age and potential profile that they should be rotation players now who will grow into starters over the next few years so surely it would be better for squad moral with guys who aren't expecting to start every game. Sounds like to much sense/work for Murtough and United though.
