I love the Mateus Asato centered content that's been on your channel. It's what has drawn me to your channel and it's really insightful to see Mateus Asato's style being broken down in such a systematic and easy-to-watch way.

glad to see someone who can easily dissect mateus asato's style of Guitar playing and explain it really well. thanks man. Also i noticed some missing pieces on your RG, like the volume knob and all screws at the nut however despite the absence of those, your guitar playing still sounds amazing..

Great video my man! You killed those licks! To be honest tho, this was not really an analysis on how Mateus Asato Uses Double Stops. In my POV, this was rather licks from the song broken down, and not a "how" in terms of what he might think, which interval slides and bends he more frequently uses etc. Maybe that's just how I associate a title like that. Anyways, still great video :)

Yep. Usually two notes that imply a chord, rather than two completely random notes on opposite sides of the neck
@emmanuelibus
@emmanuelibus 6 жыл бұрын
Darryl Syms OK, so find a chord, pick 2 notes from that chord. I'm guessing the root gotta be a part of the two.

Sorta. I mean, that’s one way of thinking about it, but that’s not really a practical and useful way of doing it. The best thing to do is follow my video on this. Search through my channel for “Double Stops”. I have a more educational video on this topic 👍😋

He always plays the same lines in almost every solo.. Really a lick/pentatonic based player. He doesn't emphasize the chord changes and doesn't use any altered notes.. Just pentatonics... Not impressed by his playing. Sounds like cheesy pop music. But so do all the other new generation bedroom neo soul/porn music guitarists. If you wanna see sophisticated, melodic and really improvised music listen to Guthrie Govan. Much better guitarist...
