To me, this is false pretenses. I thought that what was to be shown was how the kitchen prepares the food. This only shows how it is served. Without disparaging the waiters and waitresses, the really interest is in the kitchen where it must be intense and well organized. Serving is easier, at least, I think.

not using utensils is a bit two -fold in reasoning. first, it helps put you into the world they want to create. its really the only aspect of the meal or the entire thing that s remotely medieval. nothing there is 11th century accurate anyway. could just as easily have named it renaissance times and not change anything. but, the main reason is they dont want a bunch of silverware dropped everywhere when people leave and have to spend twice as much time getting the places cleared.

The first time I saw a Medieval Times restaurant was while making a work-related trip to northern NJ in 2003-2004ish. It was probably this same place. I have to say I was curious after driving by. You don't see a lot of castles in North America. At first I thought it was a small theme park for kids until I asked about it at the convenience store down the street and they explained the whole concept to me. The girl at the register seemed enthusiastic about it, so here I am 15 years later when it shows up in my feed. I still haven't had a dinner and a show there.

The only thing I did not like was that there is no easy escape if you need a restroom break. You have to try to climb backwards over your seat unless you are lucky enough to have an end seat. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience!

Love this...Never went to medieval times and always did ask how food was served during the tournament! I love the ladies who know how to do it as pros...my girl had to serve at a Buffalo Wild Wings during a BIG GAME so she learned how to hold 4 plates 4 PLATES with one arm...these ladies are pros like men respect cause I can barely get 2 plates in my room for a Call of Duty session! My girl always laughs at me...with love...but this here shows me why if I ever go Imma tip the waitress with like a $20 cause yall earn that! Plus staying in character! Man I need to go!!!! NJ my home state here I come!!!

$20 is way too much. If everyone tipped $20 think about how much that is per hr. Plus they are salaried much higher than normal waiters

LoserJ7 in giant industrial roasters. Stick all the hens on the stick, cut them.in half, throw them on a plate. The garlic bread is made in giant batches and heated up and thrown on a plate. Soup is made in giant vats and poured into the bowls.
